About this item

The main menu has six pouch slots. Four have shortcut controls, while the other two are used through the menu.

Put frequently used tools such as Torrent's whistle in a shortcut slot to avoid cycling through the quick-item bar during combat.

A pouch assignment does not create another copy or remove an item's usual cost. A consumable still runs out when its inventory supply is spent.

Pouch menu and Info tutorial

Lands Between

  1. Open the main menu and select an empty slot in the Pouch area. Assign a usable tool or consumable from your inventory; you do not need to buy a separate pouch item.
  2. Use the displayed shortcut controls for the four directional slots, or select either of the two remaining slots through the menu. The associated About Pouches tutorial can be read in the inventory’s Info tab when present.

Notes

  • The main menu has six pouch slots. Four have shortcut controls, while the other two are used through the menu.
  • Put frequently used tools such as Torrent's whistle in a shortcut slot to avoid cycling through the quick-item bar during combat.
  • A pouch assignment does not create another copy or remove an item's usual cost. A consumable still runs out when its inventory supply is spent.
  • Using a shortcut also keeps the normal restrictions: Torrent cannot be summoned in a forbidden area, and a Spirit Ash still needs an eligible summoning area and enough FP or HP.
  • The four shortcuts combine the event-action control with a direction. Follow your own displayed bindings, especially after changing keyboard or controller settings.
  • Pouch slots and Talisman Pouches are unrelated. Talisman Pouches increase talisman capacity; they do not create these item shortcuts.
  • Assigning an item does not make it safe to use during an enemy attack. Its normal animation and restrictions still apply.
