About this item

The skill control uses the ability attached to the active armament. It may produce an attack, a parry, a stance or a temporary buff.

A shield skill usually takes priority over the weapon in the other hand. Two-hand the weapon to use its skill, or use a compatible shield with No Skill when you want the weapon's skill available.

Many skills have another input after the first action. Some use a light attack, some a strong attack and some another skill press, so follow the instructions for that particular skill.

Where to find

Cave of Knowledge

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Stranded Graveyard

  1. From Stranded Graveyard, approach the seated ghost beside the hole before the large exit lift. Drop into the hole and activate Cave of Knowledge grace.
  2. Follow the practice path through the enemies and read the introduction to weapon skills when it appears. This explanation is awarded automatically, rather than picked up from a corpse.
  3. Continue through the Soldier of Godrick encounter to return to the upper graveyard. The Info tab keeps the tutorial available to read afterward.

Notes

  • The skill control uses the ability attached to the active armament. It may produce an attack, a parry, a stance or a temporary buff.
  • A shield skill usually takes priority over the weapon in the other hand. Two-hand the weapon to use its skill, or use a compatible shield with No Skill when you want the weapon's skill available.
  • Many skills have another input after the first action. Some use a light attack, some a strong attack and some another skill press, so follow the instructions for that particular skill.
  • Watch FP as well as stamina. An attempted skill with too little FP may lose its important effect rather than working normally for free.
  • Can use compatible Ashes of War on armaments that allow skill changes. Fixed unique skills cannot be replaced.
