Spend runes and the correct upgrade material to strengthen a weapon or shield. The Church of Elleh smithing table handles only the early upgrades, up to +3.

Hewg at Roundtable Hold reinforces ordinary armaments to +25 with Smithing Stones and special armaments to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.

Ordinary upgrades use 2, 4 and 6 stones of each numbered rank over three levels. Somber upgrades use one stone at each numbered level. The final upgrades require their separate Ancient Dragon materials.

At a smithing table, you can spend runes and smithing stones to strengthen your armaments.

Somewhere in the Lands Between, you may meet a blacksmith who can make your armaments even stronger.

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Elleh

  1. Enter the Church of Elleh north of The First Step.
  2. Approach the anvil beside Kale and interact with the smithing table to see the strengthening introduction.

Notes

  • Spend runes and the correct upgrade material to strengthen a weapon or shield. The Church of Elleh smithing table handles only the early upgrades, up to +3.
  • Hewg at Roundtable Hold reinforces ordinary armaments to +25 with Smithing Stones and special armaments to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.
  • Ordinary upgrades use 2, 4 and 6 stones of each numbered rank over three levels. Somber upgrades use one stone at each numbered level. The final upgrades require their separate Ancient Dragon materials.
  • Upgrade level can improve base damage and scaling. It does not automatically lower attribute requirements or add a status effect the weapon does not have.
  • Armament upgrades are separate from Roderika's Spirit Ash tuning and from flask upgrades at a grace.
