About this item

With a Spirit Calling Bell, you can use ashes to summon various spirits.

Summoning typically consumes FP.

You can only summon one type of spirit at a time.

You cannot summon spirits during multiplayer.

Before you go

• Own a Spirit Ash checked by the introductory tutorial, such as Lone Wolf Ashes or Spirit Jellyfish Ashes.
• Play in single-player in the early Limgrave area covered by this tutorial.

1. After obtaining an eligible Spirit Ash, return to the early Limgrave area around Church of Elleh in single-player.
2. When the spirit-summoning tutorial's conditions are met, the explanation appears and About Summoning Spirits is added automatically. Read the saved entry in the inventory's information section.
3. Spirit Calling Bell is a separate item. Renna can give you the bell and Lone Wolf Ashes, and the Twin Maiden Husks have a fallback bell purchase; neither is a direct purchase of this information item.

Notes

• Own the Spirit Calling Bell and a Spirit Ash, then use the ash from an item or pouch slot in an area showing the spirit monument icon.
• The bell works from the inventory. You do not equip or ring it separately for each summon.
• Most ashes cost FP, but some cost HP. Meet the listed cost before summoning; having a Cerulean Flask available does not replace the need for enough current FP.
• You summon one type of ash at a time. If its spirits die, you normally cannot immediately summon another group in the same encounter without resetting the opportunity.
• Normal Spirit Ashes are unavailable during ordinary multiplayer. Caelid's Colosseum can allow them under its separate arena rules.
• Upgrade ashes through Roderika with Grave or Ghost Glovewort as appropriate. Weapon upgrades through Hewg do not strengthen the spirits.
