About this item
Each hand has three equipment slots. Use the hand-switch controls to cycle through the weapons assigned to that hand.
All equipped armaments count toward equip load, including the ones you are not currently holding. Put unused weapons back in the inventory to remove their weight from the equipped total.
Two-handing normally uses 1.5 times your Strength for the weapon's requirement and relevant scaling. It does not multiply Dexterity, Faith, Intelligence or Arcane, and it does not add 50% to all damage.

Each hand can be equipped with up to three armaments, allowing you to toggle between them.
Armaments can also be two-handed, making attacks more difficult to repel with shields and boosting effective strength by 50%.

Where to find
Cave of Knowledge
Limgrave
Starting Site of Grace: Stranded Graveyard
- From Stranded Graveyard, approach the seated ghost beside the hole before the large exit lift. Drop into the hole and activate Cave of Knowledge grace.
- Follow the practice path through the enemies and read the introduction to switching and two-handing armaments when it appears. This explanation is awarded automatically, rather than picked up from a corpse.
- Continue through the Soldier of Godrick encounter to return to the upper graveyard. The Info tab keeps the tutorial available to read afterward.
Notes
- Each hand has three equipment slots. Use the hand-switch controls to cycle through the weapons assigned to that hand.
- All equipped armaments count toward equip load, including the ones you are not currently holding. Put unused weapons back in the inventory to remove their weight from the equipped total.
- Two-handing normally uses 1.5 times your Strength for the weapon's requirement and relevant scaling. It does not multiply Dexterity, Faith, Intelligence or Arcane, and it does not add 50% to all damage.
- Paired weapons can bring out a second weapon when two-handed. Their paired moveset is different from holding an ordinary weapon with two hands, so do not assume every paired attack receives the same Strength damage benefit.
- The hand holding a catalyst also determines which casting control to use. A staff or seal left in an inactive equipment slot cannot cast the selected spell.
