About this spellbook

Scroll of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, the glintstone sorcerers' place of study.

Can be given to a learned sorcerer to gain access to the following sorceries:

- Great Glintstone Shard

- Swift Glintstone Shard

Graveyard beside Lake-Facing Cliffs

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Lake-Facing Cliffs

1. Reach Lake-Facing Cliffs immediately beyond Stormveil Castle. You can arrive after Godrick or take the cliff path around Stormveil from the broken bridge in northeastern Stormhill.
2. If using the bypass, drop from the broken bridge onto the lower cliff path and follow it north past the wolves until you reach the Church of Irith and the nearby grace.
3. From Lake-Facing Cliffs, go west into the small graveyard. Look near the large gravestone at the far end for the corpse holding the scroll.
4. Loot the body and check for Academy Scroll. Watch for skeletons rising among the graves while you collect it.

Notes

• Unlocks Swift Glintstone Shard and Great Glintstone Shard for purchase.
• Give the scroll to Sellen, Seluvis or Miriel while that teacher's shop is available. Sellen is in Waypoint Ruins Cellar after the Mad Pumpkin Head fight, and Seluvis is at his tower after you enter Ranni's service.
• Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
• Handing over the book opens new shop stock. Choose Purchase and spend runes on the spells; they are not learned for free or equipped automatically.
• Spells you have bought carry into later journeys. The book and its teaching unlock do not, so buy the spells you want before starting another journey.
• You do not need to enter Raya Lucaria or obtain its Glintstone Key for this scroll. The graveyard is outside the academy.
• Swift Glintstone Shard costs 600 runes and Great Glintstone Shard costs 2,000 runes. These are sorceries and require a staff to cast.
• If the teacher later dies, their bell bearing can preserve spells already unlocked in that shop. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll or prayerbook through a bearing.
• Swift Glintstone Shard needs 12 Intelligence; Great Glintstone Shard needs 16 Intelligence.
• Swift Glintstone Shard is the quick projectile, while Great Glintstone Shard is the larger shot. The two spells have different Intelligence requirements, so buying both does not mean you can immediately cast both.
