About this item
A quest keepsake for Jar-Bairn. It gives no combat bonus by sitting in your inventory and cannot be equipped as a talisman.
Received after Alexander's final duel in Crumbling Farum Azula, alongside Shard of Alexander. Killing him at an earlier meeting does not provide the innards.
Return to the living Jar-Bairn in Jarburg and continue his conversations, resting between changes, until you can hand over the keepsake. Giving it to him consumes it.

In-game description
A keepsake of the warrior jar Alexander.
Found at the core of the dead flesh that once filled the great jar.
The jars contain dregs inherited from those who came before. Thus are warriors passed from jar to jar, carrying dreams of greatness.
Where to find
Alexander's final duel
Crumbling Farum Azula
Starting Site of Grace: Dragon Temple Lift
Before you go
- Keep Alexander alive and finish his Radahn battlefield and Mt. Gelmir conversations.
- Two Stonesword Keys for Dragon Temple Lift.
- Keep Alexander alive through the Radahn Festival. Once Starscourge Radahn is defeated, find Alexander on the Wailing Dunes battlefield and finish all his dialogue before leaving.
- His meeting above Jarburg in eastern Liurnia is optional. If he is stuck there, speak to him, throw an Oil Pot over him and strike him from behind to free him; finish the conversation afterward.
- From Erdtree-Gazing Hill on Altus Plateau, ride north through Wyndham Ruins and enter the valley beside Mt. Gelmir at Seethewater River. Follow the valley north, then around the mountain toward Seethewater Terminus.
- From Seethewater Terminus, ride west toward Fort Laiedd, then turn south around the outside of the fort. Continue southwest until you reach the lava lake with a Magma Wyrm.
- Make the lake safe enough to approach the rock island near Alexander. Ride across the shallow lava on Torrent, get onto the rock and dismount so you can speak without standing in the lava.
- Finish Alexander's dialogue at the lava lake and keep him alive. The early meetings in Limgrave, Gael Tunnel and the hole above Jarburg are optional; summoning him for Radahn or Fire Giant is also optional.
- Progress through the Fire Giant and reach Crumbling Farum Azula. Defeat the Godskin Duo and continue beyond Dragon Temple Altar to the stairs leading to the imp-sealed lift. Bring two Stonesword Keys to open it.
- Ride up and activate Dragon Temple Lift. Leave the lift building, go left across the fountain plaza and climb its stairs. Turn right at the top toward the broken stone structures.
- Climb onto the fallen ruins that form a crossing to the next rocky ledge. Continue across the ruined bridge pieces to the broad floating platform where Alexander waits.
- Finish his conversation and agree to his challenge. Defeat him in the duel, then speak to him again to receive Shard of Alexander and Alexander's Innards. Dying during the duel lets you try again; killing him at an earlier meeting forfeits these final rewards.

- After the handover, finish his dialogue and reload Jarburg. Pick up Companion Jar from the steps where he used to sit; the talisman is not automatically added with the innards.
- Diallos's village story is optional for this handover. Do not kill the friendly jars to try to advance it.
- Summoning Alexander for Radahn or Fire Giant is optional. Keep him alive, finish the Radahn battlefield conversation and speak to him in the lava beyond Fort Laiedd before seeking the final duel.
