About this spellbook

Prayerbook of the capital's ancient dragon cult.

A lost tome that never reached the Lands Between.

Contains red lightning incantations.

Can be given to a learned cleric to gain access to the following incantations:

- Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear

Lower floor of the great beastman hall

Crumbling Farum Azula

Starting Site of Grace: Crumbling Beast Grave Depths

Before you go

• Reach Crumbling Farum Azula through the story route.

1. Defeat the Fire Giant and advance the story at the giant fire basin to reach Crumbling Farum Azula.
2. Follow the early ruins past the dragon encounter and activate Crumbling Beast Grave Depths.
3. Continue away from the dragon's side of the building and pass through the next room with the smaller enemies. Head west into the large hall.
4. Take the stairs down to the hall's lower floor and look for the glowing pickup in the middle. Collect Ancient Dragon Prayerbook before continuing toward Tempest-Facing Balcony.

Notes

• Unlocks Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear and Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike for purchase.
• Give the prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel. Corhyn starts at Roundtable Hold and moves during his quest, so check where you last met him.
• Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
• Handing over the book opens new shop stock. Choose Purchase and spend runes on the spells; they are not learned for free or equipped automatically.
• Spells you have bought carry into later journeys. The book and its teaching unlock do not, so buy the spells you want before starting another journey.
• Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear costs 8,500 runes and Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike costs 10,500 runes.
• The Godskin Duo is farther ahead. You do not need to defeat it for this book.
• This is the book for the red lightning incantations. Dragon Cult Prayerbook is a separate pickup in Liurnia.
• If the teacher later dies, their bell bearing can preserve spells already unlocked in that shop. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll or prayerbook through a bearing.
• Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear needs 32 Faith; Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike needs 26 Faith.
• Ancient Dragons' Lightning Spear is driven into the ground near you. It is not the thrown yellow Lightning Spear from Dragon Cult Prayerbook. Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike spreads red lightning around the cast, giving the book two different close-area attacks.
