About this cookbook

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Redmane Fire Pot

Redmane Castle, western gatehouse

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Chamber Outside the Plaza

Before you go

• Normal Redmane Castle state

1. Explore Redmane Castle while its normal soldiers and doors are active.
2. From Chamber Outside the Plaza, return to the castle buildings and head toward the western gatehouse, on the northwest side of the castle.
3. Enter the gatehouse and loot the corpse holding the book.
4. If the door is closed during the Radahn Festival, defeat Radahn, finish talking to Jerren in the castle chapel, then leave and reload the area. Return once the soldiers and normal castle layout are back.

Notes

• Unlocks Redmane Fire Pots.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Redmane Fire Pot: each craft makes 1, using 2 Mushroom, 1 Smoldering Butterfly, and 1 Old Fang.
• Redmane Fire Pots use Ritual Pots. The festival temporarily blocks the room, rather than removing the cookbook permanently.
• The matching reusable containers are also required. Using a finished pot or perfume frees its container for another craft; the ingredients spent making it are not returned.
• Redmane Fire Pots use Old Fangs in addition to Mushrooms. They are a separate Ritual Pot recipe from the ordinary Fire Pot, so the smaller recipe is not unlocked by this book alone.
