Where to find
Redmane Castle, southern storeroom
Caelid
Starting Site of Grace: Impassable Greatbridge
- Cross the greatbridge toward Redmane Castle. At the closed main gate, take the path around the right side of the walls.
- Continue past the bats to the rear graveyard and climb the long ladder onto the wall.
- Drop inside and enter the southern stable room with the commoners. Loot the corpses inside for the cookbook.
- Open the room's door to make the return trip easier. If festival changes have closed the rooms, finish Radahn and Jerren's castle dialogue, then reload the area.
Notes
- Unlocks Immunizing Cured Meat and Immunizing White Cured Meat.
- The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
- You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
- Immunizing Cured Meat: each craft makes 1, using 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Sliver of Meat, 1 Great Dragonfly Head, and 1 Smoldering Butterfly.
- Immunizing White Cured Meat: each craft makes 1, using 3 Rowa Fruit, 1 Strip of White Flesh, 1 Great Dragonfly Head, and 1 Smoldering Butterfly.
- These raise Immunity, which helps resist poison and scarlet rot buildup. They do not cure an ailment that has already taken hold.
- Both recipes need a Great Dragonfly Head and Smoldering Butterfly. The normal cured meat uses Sliver of Meat, while the white version uses White Flesh Strip; those ingredients are not interchangeable.
