About this cookbook

A record of crafting techniques left by an armorer who served the great general Radahn.

Contains knowledge of dealing with rot; the application of fire in particular.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Preserving Boluses

Starting Site of Grace: Siofra River Bank

1. Take Siofra River Well in Mistwood down to the underground ruins. Follow the ruins to the second lift and ride it to the open river area.
2. Activate Siofra River Bank. Turn north and climb the rocks beside the grace to reach the raised ground.
3. Follow the stone wall west. Watch for the two Ancestral Followers near the cliff and one of the flame pillars.
4. Loot the corpse on that ledge for the cookbook.

Notes

• Unlocks Preserving Boluses.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Preserving Boluses: each craft makes 1, using 2 Dewkissed Herba, 1 Crystal Cave Moss, and 1 Sacramental Bud.
• Preserving Boluses cure scarlet rot and reduce its buildup. Each needs two Dewkissed Herba, a Crystal Cave Moss and a Sacramental Bud.
• Get out of the rot before using a bolus. If you rolled in it, use Soap to remove the coating so buildup does not immediately continue.
• Sacramental Buds gathered from fixed world pickups are limited in each Journey. Owning the book gives a recipe, not an endless supply of the rare ingredient.
