About this cookbook

A record of crafting techniques left by an armorer who served the great general Radahn.

Contains knowledge of dealing with rot; the application of fire in particular.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Giantsflame Fire Pot

Fort Laiedd, lower room

Mt. Gelmir

Starting Site of Grace: Seethewater Terminus

1. Follow Seethewater River around the western side of Mt. Gelmir to Seethewater Terminus.
2. Head west uphill to Fort Laiedd and enter its courtyard. A Fire Prelate guards the interior.
3. Go through the wooden doorway into the lower room and loot the corpse beside the stairs.
4. The book is inside the fort, below the rooftop where the spirit and other loot are found.

Notes

• Unlocks Giantsflame Fire Pots.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Giantsflame Fire Pot: each craft makes 1, using 2 Fire Blossom.
• Giantsflame Fire Pots need Ritual Pots and Fire Blossoms. They also use FP when thrown.
• The matching reusable containers are also required. Using a finished pot or perfume frees its container for another craft; the ingredients spent making it are not returned.
• The recipe needs two Fire Blossoms for each finished pot. Those flowers come from the Mountaintops, so finding the book on Mt. Gelmir does not mean all ingredients are immediately available nearby.
