About this cookbook

A record of crafting techniques left by the devout battlefield priests. These keepers of the faith fought bitterly to spread their gospel in the realm of shadow, where there was no Erdtree to gaze upon.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Golden Vow

Military camp southwest of Shadow Keep

Scadu Altus

Starting Site of Grace: Highroad Cross

1. Follow the main road north from Highroad Cross toward Shadow Keep.
2. Before the main gate, move into the army camp southwest of the entrance. Avoid drawing the nearby Furnace Golem into the tents.
3. Search the tents along the camp's northern edge.
4. Loot the corpse inside the tent for the book. Entering the keep and fighting the Golden Hippopotamus are not required.

Notes

• Unlocks the Golden Vow consumable.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Golden Vow: each craft makes 1, using 1 Blessed Bone Shard and 2 Shadow Sunflower.
• This recipe uses a Blessed Bone Shard and two Shadow Sunflowers. It creates a consumable, rather than teaching the Golden Vow incantation or Ash of War.
• The crafted Golden Vow shares its aura-buff role with the spell and skill versions. Do not plan on stacking all three just because one came from Item Crafting.
