Bell Bearing Hunter at Warmaster's Shack

Starting Site of Grace: Warmaster's Shack

Before you go

  • Visit the shack at night.
  1. Follow the road east from Stormhill Shack to Warmaster's Shack. Speak to Bernahl and finish his available dialogue if this is your first visit.
  2. Rest at the grace and pass time until night. Rest again or reload the area, then approach the shack after Bernahl disappears.
  3. Defeat the Bell Bearing Hunter that replaces him. The victory awards the bearing.

Notes

  • This hunter gives Bone Peddler’s Bell Bearing, which unlocks Thin Beast Bones and Hefty Beast Bones at the Twin Maiden Husks.
  • Bernahl’s own bell bearing and equipment come from different circumstances. Defeating the nighttime visitor does not kill Bernahl or finish his later quest.
  • The Deathbird appears out in the nearby troll field, not inside this shack. Both are night encounters with different rewards.
  • The local merchant disappears during the night encounter and returns afterward. You do not need to kill the merchant to obtain this hunter’s bell bearing.
  • If the hunter does not appear immediately, speak to the merchant during an ordinary visit, pass time until night, then rest again or reload the area before approaching.
  • His red sword can leave his hand and sweep a wide area at a distance. A retreat that looks safely beyond ordinary sword reach can still be inside the next attack.
  • Close range makes the ordinary swings easier to follow, but watch the shield slam. If the shield glows red, wait for the follow-up burst before moving back in.
  • The grab has a delayed wind-up. Watch for the hand actually reaching toward you instead of dodging as soon as the red glow begins.
