Starting Site of Grace: Rampartside Path
Before you go
Reach Altus Plateau.
From Rampartside Path in Altus Plateau, follow the road west and climb onto the plateau above it. Watch for the lightning strikes as you approach the tomb building beneath the large statue.
A Black Knife Assassin guards the doorway outside Sainted Hero's Grave. This is the assassin you need to defeat for the weapon; the reward is not in a chest farther down the dungeon.
Defeat the assassin to receive Black Knife. You can then enter the building and take its lift down to the dungeon's grace, but completing Sainted Hero's Grave and fighting its final boss are optional for this weapon.

Notes
Defeat her to receive Black Knife. The Ancient Hero of Zamor inside Sainted Hero’s Grave is a separate boss with a different reward.
Watch for the red blade projectile as well as close dagger attacks. Leave room for a sideways dodge rather than backing straight along its flight path.
The red blade can reduce your maximum HP and continue draining health after the initial hit. Create a safe opening before healing rather than assuming the first impact is the only damage.
The tomb entrance is beside the fight, but completing the dungeon below it is unnecessary for this weapon.
The sideways dash often links into another dagger attack. Wait for the next thrust or slash instead of assuming the dash ends the combination.
The attack that drags the knife along the ground before sweeping upward has a clearer recovery than the quick opening cuts. Use that opening for a controlled attack or a heal.
A fast attack can interrupt the assassin, but a long string of swings risks running out of stamina while she escapes. Keep enough stamina to respond when she turns back.
