Exceedingly rare to find.

A bone fragment touched by the gold of the Scadutree, broken from the remains of the warriors who perished in the realm of shadow. A blessing such as this is said to be the greatest honor that can be granted to the dead.

Starting Site of Grace: Highroad Cross

1. To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
2. From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the main road north toward Shadow Keep. The large military camp is outside the southern gate, before the keep's entrance lift.
3. Draw individual Messmer Soldiers away from the camp and collect any Blessed Bone Shard drops. Black Knights can also drop the material, but are harder opponents; do not pull the entire camp at once.
4. Return to Highroad Cross and rest to respawn the soldiers for another run. A first visit to Shadow Keep can break the great rune and charm, advancing the nearby companion quests.

Shadow Keep

Starting Site of Grace: Main Gate Plaza

1. Enter the Realm of Shadow after defeating Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, by touching the withered arm in Mohg's arena.
2. From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the main road north to Shadow Keep's southern gate. Ride the entrance lift and activate Shadow Keep Main Gate grace.
3. Defeat Golden Hippopotamus in the plaza. This is the front-door route; the flooded Church District provides a different way into the keep.
4. From Main Gate Plaza, leave through the west-northwest doorway, pass through the armory and climb the stairs. Continue up the wooden steps to the dining hall, where two Black Knights guard the route.
5. In the dining-hall section above Main Gate Plaza, defeat the Black Knights separately and collect any Blessed Bone Shard drops. Rest at Main Gate Plaza to reset the enemies for another run.
6. Fixed items found on nearby corpses are separate pickups. Repeating the knight fights does not refill those corpse rewards.

Notes

• Used in Festive Grease, the Golden Vow consumable and Sunwarmth Stone. Each finished item needs one shard, alongside its other recipe ingredients.
• Messmer Soldiers and Black Knights can rarely drop more. These enemy drops are renewable, while fixed bundles on corpses do not refill after resting.
• The camp outside Shadow Keep gives an outdoor soldier route. Once the keep is open, the Black Knights in the dining-hall section above Main Gate Plaza provide another selected loop.
• Item Discovery helps with the random enemy drops. It does not increase the quantity in a fixed corpse bundle or guarantee a drop from the next knight.
• Festive Grease rewards qualifying hits with runes, Golden Vow provides a temporary buff and Sunwarmth Stone heals nearby characters. The raw bone shard is a crafting material, not a rune consumable.
