Starting Site of Grace: Freezing Lake
Before you go
Reach the Mountaintops after Morgott.
Use the ordinary Rold Medallion at the Grand Lift of Rold to reach the Mountaintops. From Zamor Ruins, follow the eastern path around north through the mountain gap and across the narrow stone crossing, using its low cover against the Golem's arrows.
Continue to Ancient Snow Valley Ruins and follow the valley north. Turn right along the frozen river, then climb the left-side path by the cliffs to Freezing Lake grace.
From Freezing Lake grace, ride east onto the frozen lake. The fog thickens as Borealis appears; defeat Borealis, the Freezing Fog, to unlock the purchase.

Notes
Defeating Borealis awards one Dragon Heart and unlocks Borealis’s Mist at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. Purchasing it costs two hearts.
Keep clear of lingering frost breath and watch the Frostbite bar. Staying for one extra hit can trigger the burst and leave you exposed.
Give the dragon room when it gathers for the roar. Being underneath the body is not safe through every frost attack.
The fog makes the arena edges and nearby enemies harder to see. Use the grace and shore as landmarks when repositioning.
The lake can be crossed without defeating Borealis. Spiritcaller Cave and Lord Contender’s Evergaol are separate destinations nearby.
