Castellan Jerren

Jerren conducts the Radahn Festival at Redmane Castle and later hunts Sellen. His festival role and the final library sign choice provide different rewards.

Starting Site of Grace: Chamber Outside the Plaza

  1. Enter Redmane Castle during the active Radahn Festival and continue from Chamber Outside the Plaza into the gathering.
  2. Climb to the podium and speak to Jerren. Confirm that you are ready, let his announcement finish and use the church lift behind him to reach the sending gate.

Witchbane Ruins cellar

Weeping Peninsula · Witch-hunter’s visit

When available: During Sellen’s later body-transfer quest.

Starting Site of Grace: Fourth Church of Marika

  1. From Fourth Church of Marika on western Weeping Peninsula, go south to Witchbane Ruins.
  2. Clear the enemies around the stairway and enter the cellar to find Sellen’s chained body.

Outside Raya Lucaria Grand Library

Starting Site of Grace: Raya Lucaria Grand Library

  1. Defeat Rennala and finish Sellen’s body transfer and Jerren’s post-festival conversations.
  2. Leave the Grand Library doors to find the paired signs. Read whether the sign asks you to assist Sellen or challenge her before confirming.

Quest steps

Quest steps can include different outcomes. Read the branch, conditions and cutoffs before making a choice.

  1. Begin the festival battle

    Branch: Main quest

    Speak on the podium, confirm readiness and finish the announcement for Heartening Cry. Use the sending gate on the beach approach to fight Radahn.

  2. Speak after Radahn

    Branch: Main quest

    Return to the small church beyond the festival plaza and finish Jerren’s new conversation. He leaves to pursue his other duty.

  3. Follow Sellen’s body transfer

    Branch: Main quest

    Advance Sellen through her primal-glintstone request and replacement body. Visit Witchbane Ruins for Jerren’s conversation when the stage becomes available.

  4. Assist Jerren

    Branch: Side with Jerren

    Use the red challenge sign outside Raya Lucaria Grand Library to defeat Sellen. Speak to Jerren afterward for an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

  5. Optional armor after the stone

    Branch: Side with Jerren

    If you also want the Eccentric set on this branch, kill Jerren after taking his stone and before leaving or reloading. This ends his surviving presence.

  6. Assist Sellen instead

    Branch: Side with Sellen

    Use the gold sign and defeat Jerren. His Eccentric set is awarded on this branch; Sellen then gives her own follow-up rewards.

Notes

  • Jerren becomes an additional festival summon during Radahn’s later phase. His sign availability there is separate from his final library quest fight.
  • The Radahn Festival can be activated through normal regional or Ranni progression. Speak after the festival to move his story onward.
  • Do not attack Sellen’s chained body to imitate the scripted witch-hunter scene. Use the intended dialogue and sign stages.
  • Helping Jerren and collecting his armor afterward does not recover Glintstone Kris or Shard Spiral from Sellen’s alternate branch.
  • The final paired signs appear outside the library doors after Rennala and the required quest conversations. Revisit the exterior if you only checked inside the room.
