About this spellbook

A sorcery scroll from the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

Details superior sorceries taught to scholars worthy of donning the stone crown and studying a certain conspectus.

Can be given to a learned sorcerer to gain access to the following sorceries:

- Glintstone Cometshard

- Star Shower

Study beside Schoolhouse Classroom

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Schoolhouse Classroom

Before you go

• Obtain the Academy Glintstone Key and reach Schoolhouse Classroom.

1. Get the Academy Glintstone Key from the body behind the dragon resting west of Raya Lucaria. You can take it without defeating the dragon.
2. Use the key at the sealed academy entrance. Follow the early route through the Church of the Cuckoo and graveyard, then ride the waterwheel lift up and enter Schoolhouse Classroom.
3. Activate the grace, leave the classroom into the corridor and turn left into the nearby study before continuing farther through the academy.
4. Loot the corpse in the study for Conspectus Scroll. Check the item name before leaving; the nearby cookbook chest is a different pickup.

Notes

• Unlocks Glintstone Cometshard and Star Shower for purchase.
• Give the scroll to Sellen, Seluvis or Miriel while that teacher's shop is available. Sellen is in Waypoint Ruins Cellar after the Mad Pumpkin Head fight, and Seluvis is at his tower after you enter Ranni's service.
• Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
• Handing over the book opens new shop stock. Choose Purchase and spend runes on the spells; they are not learned for free or equipped automatically.
• Spells you have bought carry into later journeys. The book and its teaching unlock do not, so buy the spells you want before starting another journey.
• Glintstone Cometshard costs 12,000 runes and Star Shower costs 10,000 runes after the scroll is handed in.
• The scroll is on the corpse. Opening a cookbook chest does not collect it.
• The Red Wolf of Radagon and Rennala are farther ahead. Neither boss is required for this pickup.
• If the teacher later dies, their bell bearing can preserve spells already unlocked in that shop. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll or prayerbook through a bearing.
• Glintstone Cometshard needs 36 Intelligence; Star Shower needs 24 Intelligence.
• Glintstone Cometshard is the single comet, while Star Shower sends six pursuing stars. Both can be charged. The scroll does not teach Comet or Stars of Ruin, which are separate sorceries.
