About this item

Twenty containers is the maximum. They carry into later journeys and their collected copies do not respawn as extra capacity.

The three-pot keepsake replaces two Auriza Side Tomb containers and the southern Caelid merchant's container. It does not raise the maximum.

Using or storing a crafted pot frees its container for crafting again. The ingredients still need replacing.

Three-pot keepsake

Starting area

  1. Choose Cracked Pot during character creation to begin with three containers.

Before you go

  • Have 300 runes per item.
  1. Travel north from The First Step to the ruined church.
  2. Buy three Cracked Pots from Kale for 300 runes each.

Saintsbridge merchant

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Saintsbridge

Before you go

  • Have 600 runes.
  1. Cross Saintsbridge eastward and follow the road to the merchant by the campfire.
  2. Buy the container for 600 runes.

Castle Morne Rampart merchant

Weeping Peninsula

Starting Site of Grace: Castle Morne Rampart

Before you go

  • Have 600 runes.
  1. Follow the peninsula's main road south to Castle Morne Rampart.
  2. Buy a container from the nearby merchant for 600 runes.

Merchant northeast of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Caelid Highway South

Before you go

  • Have 1,500 runes.
  • This stock depends on whether the pot was replaced by the keepsake selection.
  1. Follow southern Caelid's highway toward the merchant northeast of the Cathedral of Dragon Communion.
  2. Buy the container for 1,500 runes if it was not replaced by the keepsake selection.

Groveside Cave body

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Groveside Cave

  1. Find Groveside Cave in the cliff north of the Church of Elleh.
  2. Descend into the first wolf chamber and search the body near the fire.

Two pots near Secluded Cell

Stormveil Castle

Starting Site of Grace: Secluded Cell

  1. From Secluded Cell, go back into the castle toward the side area occupied by Living Jars.
  2. Deal with the large jar and search the dead end for both containers.

Three containers in Jarburg

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Jarburg

  1. From the cliffs south of Carian Study Hall, descend the protruding gravestones to Jarburg.
  2. Take one container by the fallen stone monument northeast of the grace, one at the third house on the left and one inside the open house at the far right.
  3. Leave the friendly living jars alone; attacking them is unnecessary.

Living Jar corner above the courtyard

Raya Lucaria Academy

Starting Site of Grace: Debate Parlor

  1. At Temple Quarter in western Liurnia, ride north to the rocky island where Glintstone Dragon Smarag is resting. Take the Academy Glintstone Key from the corpse behind the dragon; fighting Smarag is optional.
  2. Examine the seal at South Raya Lucaria Gate with the key in your inventory. At Main Academy Gate, ride the lift up and climb the stairs past the two sorcerers into the church. Activate Church of the Cuckoo grace in its side passage.
  3. Leave through the side passage into the graveyard. Follow the descending path across the wooden bridge, then climb the path on the right. Watch for enemies grabbing at you from the ground.
  4. At the far end, go through the passage to the huge waterwheel. Ride an ascending platform and step off at the upper landing. Enter the building on the left for Schoolhouse Classroom grace; riding down goes to a different area.
  5. Leave the classroom and follow the corridor through the sorcerers to the large room with a Living Jar. Use the corridor on its right, climb the stairs and continue upstairs to the boss fog.
  6. Defeat Red Wolf of Radagon and activate Debate Parlor grace. Leave into the open courtyard, keeping the large curved staircase on your right in view.
  7. Leave Debate Parlor into the courtyard and turn left.
  8. Climb the left-hand stairs toward the sorcerer and Living Jars, then collect the container in that corner.

Cliffside wooden platforms

Caria Manor

Starting Site of Grace: Royal Moongazing Grounds

  1. Reach the western Liurnia road and follow it north through Kingsrealm Ruins. Strike the illusory wall blocking the road at the northern end, then continue past Iji at Road to the Manor.
  2. Ride toward the large manor while avoiding the magical strikes falling along the approach. Activate Main Caria Manor Gate grace at the entrance.
  3. Inside, follow the courtyard path northwest toward the building in the far corner. Fingercreepers hide among the plants and beneath the ground; do not stop on a buried hand.
  4. Enter the building with the seated spirit and climb its stairs to Manor Lower Level grace.
  5. Take the elevated walkways east and continue straight along the main route at the first junction. Spectral soldiers appear along the bridges. Reach the far building and take its lift up to Manor Upper Level.
  6. Leave the upper grace, pass the wolves in the garden and climb the main stone stairway toward the Troll Knight and sorcerers.
  7. Continue up the stairs beyond the troll and Pages to the large circular courtyard. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta, then activate Royal Moongazing Grounds grace.
  8. From Royal Moongazing Grounds, go back into the manor and look to the right for the lower wooden platforms.
  9. Drop down carefully and search the cliff-edge route for the pot.

Branch north of the Minor Erdtree

Caelid

Starting Site of Grace: Smoldering Church

  1. Reach the Minor Erdtree in northwestern Caelid.
  2. Walk around its northern side and follow the branch projecting over the drop to collect the pot. Avoid rolling off the narrow branch.

Four pots in Auriza Side Tomb

Capital Outskirts

Starting Site of Grace: Auriza Side Tomb

  1. From Outer Wall Battleground outside Leyndell, ride east and take the lower southeastern path beneath the bridge toward the capital. Follow the low ground north, keeping clear of the Runebear in the wooded area.
  2. Find Auriza Side Tomb in the northern cliff. Auriza Hero's Grave is the separate entrance farther south. Enter the side tomb and activate its grace.
  3. Descend past the locked boss doors, then continue northeast down the stairs through the small jars. Yellow-topped jars explode, so clear them from a distance or retreat when they rush.
  4. At the end of the initial route, open the chest and remain in its mist to be transported. From the similar room where you arrive, go straight down the stairs and then down the next flight.
  5. Clear the imps in the lower chamber. Take its southwestern doorway down into the watery room, then turn right beneath the platform and use the northwestern passage.
  6. In the next room, watch for the imp immediately on the left and the one throwing projectiles from above. Open the main chest at the far end of the carpet, rather than the separate chest behind the illusory side wall.
  7. The main chest puts you behind bars with two large Living Jars. Search both back corners for two Cracked Pots, then use the chest here to return.
  8. In the junction room, strike the false wall in its southwestern archway and use the chest downstairs. Follow the balcony passage, descend through the adjoining rooms and return to the chest behind that false wall.
  9. Use the other chest reached by the small stairs to reach the corresponding enclosed room in the other version of the tomb. Search its two back corners for the other two pots. If it sends you to a room already emptied, return through its chest, use the false-wall chest again and retry.
  10. The three-pot keepsake removes two of these four pickups. Do not keep cycling the chests looking for replacement copies when those capacity slots were supplied at character creation.

Room beyond Lower Capital Church

Leyndell, Royal Capital

Starting Site of Grace: Lower Capital Church

  1. From Lower Capital Church, go straight ahead and descend the ladder.
  2. Enter the upper-level room to the right and search near the closed portcullis. A Leyndell Knight guards the room.
  3. Take the container before defeating Maliketh.

Notes

  • Twenty containers is the maximum. They carry into later journeys and their collected copies do not respawn as extra capacity.
  • The three-pot keepsake replaces two Auriza Side Tomb containers and the southern Caelid merchant's container. It does not raise the maximum.
  • Using or storing a crafted pot frees its container for crafting again. The ingredients still need replacing.
  • These containers do not increase Ritual Pot or Hefty Cracked Pot capacity.
  • The Leyndell pot becomes unavailable after Maliketh changes the capital.
  • A container holds one crafted pot item at a time. Filling all twenty with Fire Pots leaves no empty ordinary containers for other recipes until some are used or stored.
  • A cookbook unlocks a recipe, while the empty pot supplies its container. You still need the Crafting Kit and the required ingredients; collecting the container alone does not unlock every pot.
  • Storing a filled pot frees its carried container, but taking the stored item out uses capacity again. Resting can refill carried crafted items from storage when space is available.
  • The containers themselves are not projectiles to equip and throw. Craft an eligible filled pot, then use that crafted item.
  • Friendly jars in Jarburg do not need to be attacked for its fixed pickups. There is no reason to destroy the village to collect these containers.
