Where to find

Kale's shop inside Church of Elleh

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Church of Elleh

Before you go

  • Have 300 runes.
  1. Leave the First Step and head north to the ruined Church of Elleh.
  2. Speak to Kale beside the campfire and buy the Crafting Kit for 300 runes.
  3. Open your main menu and choose Item Crafting. The kit unlocks the menu; additional recipes require their matching cookbooks.

Twin Maiden Husks later shop

Roundtable Hold

Starting Site of Grace: Table of Lost Grace

Before you go

  • Defeat two Shardbearers without acquiring the Crafting Kit.
  1. At Roundtable Hold, visit the Twin Maiden Husks and open their ordinary shop.
  2. Buy the Crafting Kit for 500 runes if it has moved here after your earlier progress. Buying it unlocks the same crafting menu as the early purchase from Kalé.

Notes

  • Unlocks Item Crafting in the main menu. You can make items while exploring outside combat; you do not need to return to a smith or a grace.
  • The kit is permanent and is not consumed when you craft. Its small set of starter recipes includes Rainbow Stones and Rowa Raisins; cookbooks add further recipes.
  • A cookbook unlocks a recipe rather than supplying its ingredients. You still need the listed materials each time you craft.
  • Crafted pots and aromatics also need an empty matching container. Using the finished item frees that reusable container, while the ordinary ingredients are spent.
  • You only need one kit. Finding more cookbooks expands the same crafting menu rather than requiring an upgraded kit.
  • Kalé sells it for 300 runes early on. If you progress past two Shardbearers without buying it, the Twin Maiden Husks provide the later shop option for 500 runes.
