About this item

This is the Fort Haight half. The matching right half is in the chest above Fort Faroth's bat chamber in Dragonbarrow. One half on its own cannot operate the lift.

Keep both halves in your inventory and stand on the Grand Lift of Dectus platform in northeastern Liurnia. Choose Hoist medallion at the large statues to ride to Altus Plateau. There is no crafting or equipment step.

Neither half is consumed by using the lift. They are key items, rather than talismans, and give no passive combat bonus.

In-game description

Left half of a split medallion depicting the Erdtree.

Brandishing the medallion with both halves conjoined will activate the Grand Lift of Dectus, connecting the Altus Plateau to Liurnia.

The right half is said to reside in Fort Faroth in the Dragonbarrow, far to the east.

Where to find

Chest in Fort Haight's tower

Limgrave

Starting Site of Grace: Fort Haight West

  1. From Mistwood Outskirts in eastern Limgrave, follow the main road south through the forest toward its southeastern coast. Fort Haight stands beyond the trees; activate Fort Haight West before climbing the approach.
  2. Follow the defended path toward the fort's gate. Watch for the Pumpkin Head and soldiers outside, then move through the courtyard without standing beside the explosive barrels.
  3. Climb the stairs, turn left and take the next stairs onto the upper wall. The Godrick Knight using a blood-coated sword stands here; you can avoid him if you can reach the tower safely.
  4. Turn right toward the corner tower and climb its ladder. Open the chest at the top for Dectus Medallion (Left). The knight's Bloody Slash drop is a separate reward.

Notes

  • This is the Fort Haight half. The matching right half is in the chest above Fort Faroth's bat chamber in Dragonbarrow. One half on its own cannot operate the lift.
  • Keep both halves in your inventory and stand on the Grand Lift of Dectus platform in northeastern Liurnia. Choose Hoist medallion at the large statues to ride to Altus Plateau. There is no crafting or equipment step.
  • Neither half is consumed by using the lift. They are key items, rather than talismans, and give no passive combat bonus.
  • Ruin-Strewn Precipice and Magma Wyrm Makar provide a different route to Altus without these halves. Finding the medallions does not require clearing Stormveil or Raya Lucaria.
  • Kenneth Haight's request and the rampart knight are separate from the chest interaction. You do not need to complete Kenneth's later quest to collect the medallion.
