About this crafting material

One Dewgem is used per Lulling Branch, Well-Pickled Turtle Neck or Charming Branch. Hefty Oil Pot and Fingerprint Nostrum each need three.

The plants grow beside water and glow after dark. Night makes them easier to see; it is not a requirement for collecting them.

The growing patches around the Ghostflame Dragon lake provide a repeat circuit after resting. Fixed corpse bundles are separate pickups and do not refill with those plants.

In-game description

Succulent plant that has supped on night-tinged dew. Material used for crafting items.

Glows at night and blossoms mainly at the waterside.

Said to have been used in the practice of sprite medicine long ago.

Where to find

Waterside plants along the lower Ellac River

Gravesite Plain

Starting Site of Grace: Ellac River Cave

  1. From Castle Front, ride south to the crossroads, turn east and follow the road to the next fork. Take the right-hand dirt track, then the left fork downhill toward the southeast.
  2. Pass the bloodfiends and descend into the shallow poison area. Follow the lower path down toward the river rather than climbing toward the fort; watch for militia and poison traps along the descent.
  3. At the bottom is a shallow pool with a giant crab. Turn southwest into the opening in the cliff, continue through the cave past the Revered Spirit Ash chamber and activate Ellac River Cave grace.
  4. Leave the cave by the river and search the rocks and shallow water beside the lower watercourse for small succulent plants. Collect the Dewgems without dropping over the waterfall.
  5. These are waterside plants, not the sparkling fixed bundles on corpses. Their pale glow makes them easier to pick out after dark.

Ghostflame Dragon lake north of Greatbridge, North

Gravesite Plain

Starting Site of Grace: Greatbridge, North

Before you go

  • Enter the Realm of Shadow.
  1. From the opening Gravesite Plain grace, head north past Scorched Ruins to Three-Path Cross. Continue north across the road and take the path beside the large tree to Greatbridge, North, on the right side of that path. Stay west of Ellac Greatbridge rather than crossing toward Castle Ensis.
  2. Head west to the shallow lake below Abandoned Ailing Village. The Ghostflame Dragon stands in the water; leave it alone if you only want the plants.
  3. Circle the water's edge and inspect the rocks near the summoning-pool effigy for Dewgem plants. More grow around the shore, so follow the bank rather than cutting across the dragon's position.
  4. Return to Greatbridge, North and rest to repeat the growing plants. Visit at night if their glow makes them easier to find; defeating the dragon is unnecessary.

Notes

  • One Dewgem is used per Lulling Branch, Well-Pickled Turtle Neck or Charming Branch. Hefty Oil Pot and Fingerprint Nostrum each need three.
  • The plants grow beside water and glow after dark. Night makes them easier to see; it is not a requirement for collecting them.
  • The growing patches around the Ghostflame Dragon lake provide a repeat circuit after resting. Fixed corpse bundles are separate pickups and do not refill with those plants.
  • The dragon does not need to be defeated. Keep to the shore and leave space around it rather than trying to gather directly underneath its attacks.
  • The Ellac River route requires the cave and the lower river path. Jumping from the cliffs above is not a shortcut to its waterside plants.
  • Finding Dewgems does not unlock a recipe by itself. The branch recipes and Fingerprint Nostrum also spend their own rarer ingredients, so those can run out first.
