About this crafting material

Dragon Communion Flesh needs one flower, five Rada Fruit, one Lump of Flesh and one Sharp Gravel Stone. Igon's Cookbook (2) unlocks the recipe.

The mountain flowers growing from fallen warriors do not return after resting. A cleared plant is finite for the journey even though nearby wildlife returns.

Eligible Realm of Shadow eagle, deer, ram and springhare variants can drop this flower. Ordinary versions elsewhere do not all share that loot, so killing any random animal is not a reliable substitute.

In-game description

Flower with an uncanny shape, coursing with hot blood. Material used for crafting items.

Exceedingly rare to find.

A single flower is said to blossom—only once—from the hearts of dead warriors who oft partook of the Dragon Communion.

Where to find

Flowers on fallen warriors along the mountain trail

Jagged Peak

Starting Site of Grace: Jagged Peak Mountainside

Before you go

  • Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man in Dragon's Pit.
  1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
  2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
  3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
  4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
  5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
  6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
  7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
  8. From Dragon's Pit Terminus, descend to the first drake's lake bed. Use the northeastern archway and follow the path uphill as it bends southeast. The drake fight is optional.
  9. Continue along the narrow cliff path until you reach a spiritspring on the east side. This is the first spiritspring on the ascent, before the bridge to Foot of the Jagged Peak.
  10. Use the spiritspring to jump east, then cross the bridge south-southeast and activate Foot of the Jagged Peak grace.
  11. Follow the southern uphill path over the rocks to the two fighting drakes. You can skirt their arena to continue east without defeating them.
  12. Take the eastern canyon, climb using the next two spiritsprings and follow the valley uphill. Two boulders roll down the slope ahead; use the rocks on the right for cover before continuing.
  13. At the top of the boulder slope, turn east-northeast toward Ancient Dragon Senessax. You can ride past the dragon and take the northern uphill exit instead of fighting.
  14. Climb past the dead dragons to Jagged Peak Mountainside grace. Lightning strikes along the upper mountain, so move away from the marks that appear on the ground.
  15. To collect a specific flower on the ascent, return down the northern approach toward Senessax and the valley with the two rolling boulders. Look for the unusual flower on the fallen warrior in that valley, keeping behind the right-hand rocks while the boulders pass.
  16. More flowers are found among the fallen warriors along the mountain route. Gather the material itself rather than mistaking every red flower in the scenery for a pickup.
  17. The growing flowers are limited pickups and do not return just because you rest. Enemy drops are a separate supply with different conditions.

Notes

  • Dragon Communion Flesh needs one flower, five Rada Fruit, one Lump of Flesh and one Sharp Gravel Stone. Igon's Cookbook (2) unlocks the recipe.
  • The mountain flowers growing from fallen warriors do not return after resting. A cleared plant is finite for the journey even though nearby wildlife returns.
  • Eligible Realm of Shadow eagle, deer, ram and springhare variants can drop this flower. Ordinary versions elsewhere do not all share that loot, so killing any random animal is not a reliable substitute.
  • The selected mountain ascent needs the Ancient Dragon-Man in Dragon's Pit. The optional Magma Wyrm, the drakes on the ascent, Senessax and Bayle do not all need to be defeated just to gather flowers.
  • Sharp Gravel Stone and Gravel Stone are separate ingredients. The ordinary Gravel Stone cannot replace the sharp variety in Dragon Communion Flesh.
  • The finished flesh adds six Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity for 90 seconds while draining three HP per second. The flower alone supplies no attribute bonus and is not eaten directly for that effect.
  • Its cookbook is on the northeastern cliff branch from Jagged Peak Mountainside, separate from the main uphill route. Finding a flower does not unlock that recipe automatically.
