Dragon Communion Priestess

The Dragon Communion Priestess waits beside the huge dead dragon at the Grand Altar. Her promise of power against Bayle has two mutually exclusive reward paths, depending on Thiollier’s Concoction.

Starting Site of Grace: Grand Altar of Dragon Communion

  1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
  2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
  3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
  4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
  5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
  6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
  7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
  8. Leave Dragon's Pit Terminus and descend to the lake bed with a Jagged Peak Drake. You can ride past the drake; follow the southern canyon toward the enormous dead dragon.
  9. Pass the dragon statues and emerge beside the ruined structure north of Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. The huge stone bowl and dead dragon identify the altar.
  10. Speak to the Dragon Communion Priestess and agree to pursue Bayle. Leave Thiollier's Concoction unused if you want her heart and weapon outcome.

Quest steps

Quest steps can include different outcomes. Read the branch, conditions and cutoffs before making a choice.

  1. Meet at the altar

    Branch: Main quest

    Clear Dragon’s Pit and leave through the rear doors. From the first drake basin, take the southern canyon to the immense dead dragon and the Grand Altar.

  2. Ask for power

    Branch: Main quest

    Speak about Bayle and agree to receive draconic essence. She provides Ancient Dragon’s Blessing; return for another when the handover is available after using one.

  3. Leave the concoction unused

    Branch: Priestess Heart and weapon

    Defeat Bayle without giving her Thiollier’s Concoction. Return to her former place for Priestess Heart and Flowerstone Gavel.

  4. Obtain the concoction first

    Branch: Florissax ally

    Meet Thiollier, take Moore’s Black Syrup back to him and finish the early conversation for the concoction. Keep it for this handover.

    Progression cutoff: Obtain it while Thiollier’s early delivery remains available.

  5. Offer it at night

    Branch: Florissax ally

    Before Bayle dies, visit the priestess at night and offer the concoction through her dialogue. Leave, pass time and return until she wakes, then finish her new conversation.

    Progression cutoff: Giving it before Bayle commits the alternate reward route.

  6. Return after Bayle

    Branch: Florissax ally

    On the concoction route, speak after the boss for Dragonbolt of Florissax. Confess that you caused her sleep and accept her offer to accompany you for Ancient Dragon Florissax.

  7. Use Bayle’s Heart separately

    Branch: Main quest

    At the altar, exchange Bayle’s Heart for the chosen Bayle incantation. This consumes the unique heart and is separate from the priestess’s personal gifts.

Notes

  • The two final reward pairs are alternatives within one journey. Do not promise all four from a single normal completion.
  • Offer the concoction through dialogue. Applying Sleep to her with a weapon or pot does not replace that quest handover.
  • Thiollier’s Concoction is not a drink to test on yourself. It kills the player when consumed.
  • The Grand Altar is south of the first drake basin. The northeastern branch climbs toward Bayle.
  • Bayle drops a heart rather than a Remembrance, and ordinary Remembrance duplication does not provide another Bayle’s Heart.
  • The priestess and Igon have connected routes but separate reward conditions. Burning the Sealing Tree does not itself end this dragon quest.
