Prayerbook of the capital's ancient dragon cult.

A text of the knights' faith that arose after the War of the Ancient Dragons.

Can be given to a learned cleric to gain access to the following incantations:

- Lightning Spear

- Honed Bolt

Golden knight on the road south of Artist's Shack

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Artist's Shack

1. Reach the eastern Liurnia plateau and find Artist's Shack beside the road. Activate its grace before starting the fight.
2. Follow the road south from the shack and look for the lone knight in golden armor patrolling the path.
3. Defeat that knight and collect the dropped Dragon Cult Prayerbook. Keep space around you so other enemies do not join while he is using lightning attacks.
4. Check the pickup name before returning to the grace. This is the specific knight's book reward, rather than a random drop to farm from every soldier.

Notes

• Unlocks Lightning Spear, Honed Bolt and Electrify Armament for purchase.
• Give the prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel. Corhyn starts at Roundtable Hold and moves during his quest, so check where you last met him.
• Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
• Handing over the book opens new shop stock. Choose Purchase and spend runes on the spells; they are not learned for free or equipped automatically.
• Spells you have bought carry into later journeys. The book and its teaching unlock do not, so buy the spells you want before starting another journey.
• The book is obtained in Liurnia, even though the knight and its incantations belong to Leyndell's dragon cult.
• These spells are purchased from a teacher with runes. They are separate from Dragon Communion incantations exchanged for Dragon Hearts.
• You do not have to enter the capital or defeat one of the dragons in the lake to collect this book.
• If the teacher later dies, their bell bearing can preserve spells already unlocked in that shop. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll or prayerbook through a bearing.
• Lightning Spear needs 17 Faith; Honed Bolt needs 24 Faith; Electrify Armament needs 15 Faith.
• Lightning Spear is a thrown projectile, Honed Bolt strikes from above and Electrify Armament adds lightning to a compatible right-hand weapon. Learning the enchantment does not make it work on a weapon whose current affinity prevents weapon buffs.
• These lightning incantations use your sacred seal for casting. The Dexterity scaling associated with many Lightning affinity weapons is not a rule that makes Dexterity increase every lightning spell.
