Starting Site of Grace: Converted Tower
Reach the Converted Tower on the southwestern side of Liurnia. Stay on the raised western bank rather than dropping into the lake.
Follow the ground north toward the Minor Erdtree and fight the Erdtree Avatar at its base.
Defeat it to receive one Cerulean Crystal Tear and one Ruptured Crystal Tear. Both are automatic boss rewards.

Notes
Winning awards one Cerulean Crystal Tear and one Ruptured Crystal Tear. The other copies of these tears are obtained from different encounters.
Stay on the raised bank when approaching from Converted Tower. Dropping into the lake puts you below the tree’s plateau.
The nearby Road’s End Catacombs is a separate dungeon. Its boss is not required for the Avatar’s tears.
Make room for the jumping slam before trying to punish it. The landing can catch you even after the staff has stopped moving.
Torrent can help you reposition around the field, but watch where you are riding when the projectile volley begins.
