Before you go

• Moore remains alive and friendly

1. Reach Scadu Altus and head toward Ruined Forge of Starfall Past, southeast of Castle Ensis.
2. From the entrance, follow the nearby cliffs northwest toward the castle walls.
3. Find the lone, nonhostile pest foraging by the wall. Approach without attacking and use the talk prompt to receive the book.

Notes

• Unlocks Spellproof Pickled Liver.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Spellproof Pickled Liver: each craft makes 1, using 3 Rada Fruit, 1 Beast Liver, 1 Scorpion Liver, and 1 Glintslab Firefly.
• These foragers are friendly. Talk to them instead of attacking them.
• Collect the brood books while Moore is alive and before choosing an answer that sends him away. Hurting the brood can make Moore hostile and block the remaining rewards.
• The recipe improves magic damage negation temporarily. It uses Rada Fruit, Beast Liver, Scorpion Liver and a Glintslab Firefly.
• Spellproof means magic damage negation here. The recipe does not raise every elemental defense; the separate Opaline Pickled Liver recipe covers the elemental types together.
• When Moore asks how he should move on after the charm breaks, leave that choice unanswered until you have collected the brood books. The charm breaking by itself is different from choosing an answer that makes him leave.
