A record of crafting techniques left by the non-human forager brood. Shared out of kindness toward Moore and his kin.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

Before you go

• Moore remains alive and friendly

1. From Castle Front, ride south to the crossroads, turn east and follow the road to the next fork. Take the right-hand dirt track, then the left fork downhill toward the southeast.
2. Pass the bloodfiends and descend into the shallow poison area. Follow the lower path down toward the river rather than climbing toward the fort; watch for militia and poison traps along the descent.
3. At the bottom is a shallow pool with a giant crab. Turn southwest into the opening in the cliff, continue through the cave past the Revered Spirit Ash chamber and activate Ellac River Cave grace.
4. Leave by the southern cave exit and turn south along the river. Use Torrent to cross the successive rock ledges beside the waterfall, landing on the nearby rocks rather than jumping to the valley floor.
5. Continue down the ledge path past the stone birds, watching for the living ones to attack. Drop down the short rock steps to Ellac River Downstream grace.
6. From Downstream, continue south beside the lower falls. Cross the long rock pillar toward the east and use its far side to reach the lower water safely.
7. The lower basin opens toward a Furnace Golem. Its fight is optional for reaching the coast, the friendly forager or the lightning-flower pond.
8. Before going through to the coast, follow the eastern cliff into the small wood with lightning sheep. Look along its northern cliff wall for the friendly forager.
9. Dismount and talk to it without attacking. It gives Forager Brood Cookbook [3] and three Yellow Fulgurblooms. The nearby pond is south of the forager.

Notes

• Unlocks Lightningproof Pickled Liver. Each craft uses three Rada Fruits, one Beast Liver, one Scorpion Liver and one Yellow Fulgurbloom.
• The pickled liver improves Lightning damage negation. It does not raise Focus or prevent every type of elemental damage.
• The two liver ingredients are separate requirements. Beast Liver does not replace Scorpion Liver, and ordinary Fulgurbloom does not replace the yellow variety.
• Speak to the friendly forager instead of attacking it. The cookbook and a small flower bundle are dialogue rewards, not drops from the lightning sheep.
• Collect the brood books while Moore is alive and friendly. Attacking the brood can make him hostile and prevent the remaining rewards.
• When Moore asks how he should move on after the charm breaks, leave his choice unanswered until you finish collecting the books. The charm breaking by itself does not remove them.
• The book unlocks its recipe permanently with a Crafting Kit and carries into later journeys. It is not equipped or spent when crafting.
