A record of crafting techniques left by a glintstone craftsman who served the academy.

Contains information on "faux sorceries," such as they were called.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Magic Pot

- Roped Magic Pot

Starting Site of Grace: Academy Gate Town

1. From Academy Gate Town grace, head northwest into the flooded buildings below Raya Lucaria.
2. Look for the partly submerged church with Albinaurics on its roof and the small tower beside it.
3. Use the exposed rooftops to reach the tower opening, then jump inside and open the chest for the cookbook.
4. The pickup is in the flooded town outside the academy. You do not need the Academy Glintstone Key or access through its entry seal.

Notes

• Unlocks Magic Pots, Roped Magic Pots and Shield Grease.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Roped Magic Pot: each craft makes 1, using 2 Glintstone Firefly and 1 String.
• Magic Pot: each craft makes 1, using 2 Glintstone Firefly.
• Shield Grease: each craft makes 1, using 1 Root Resin, 1 Silver Tear Husk, and 1 Crystal Bud.
• The magic pot recipes use Cracked Pots. Shield Grease goes on a shield held in the left hand and improves its guarding ability temporarily.
• The matching reusable containers are also required. Using a finished pot or perfume frees its container for another craft; the ingredients spent making it are not returned.
• The roped pot is thrown behind you and costs String as well as the two fireflies. Shield Grease uses different materials and goes on a shield, so these are three separate crafting choices.
