A record of crafting techniques left by a glintstone craftsman who served the academy.

Contains information on "faux sorceries," such as they were called.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Royal Moongazing Grounds

Before you go

• Defeat Royal Knight Loretta
• 2,500 runes

1. Defeat Royal Knight Loretta and leave Caria Manor toward the Three Sisters.
2. Turn left outside and follow the cliff above the manor until you see a blue flask scarab near the drop.
3. Use the roof and wooden platforms below to descend safely to the rooftop opening. Climb the ladder into Pidia's room.
4. Speak to Pidia and buy the cookbook for 2,500 runes.

Notes

• Unlocks Coldbone Arrows, Coldbone Arrows (Fletched) and Coldbone Bolts.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Coldbone Arrow (Fletched): each craft makes 10, using 3 Thin Beast Bones, 3 Rimed Crystal Bud, and 1 Flight Pinion.
• Coldbone Arrow: each craft makes 10, using 3 Thin Beast Bones and 3 Rimed Crystal Bud.
• Coldbone Bolt: each craft makes 10, using 2 Thin Beast Bones and 3 Rimed Crystal Bud.
• Pidia's room is above the lower manor, reached from outside after Loretta. Searching the normal lower walkway will not get you into it.
• If Pidia is already dead, collect his bell bearing from the same room and give it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. Check his bell-bearing shop for the unbought book.
• Each batch makes ten arrows or bolts for three Rimed Crystal Buds. Fletched arrows also need a Flight Pinion; bolts do not.
