About this spellbook
Unlocks Radagon's Rings of Light and Law of Regression for purchase.
Give the prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel. Corhyn starts at Roundtable Hold and moves during his quest, so check where you last met him.
Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
Technical details
- Effect
- Give to a learned cleric to acquire new incantations
In-game description
Prayerbook of the Golden Order fundamentalists.
A dense and complex academic treatise that contains the Order's fundamental principles.
Can be given to a learned cleric to gain access to the following incantations:
- Radagon's Rings of Light
- Law of Regression
Where to find
Corpse in the chair above Erdtree Sanctuary
Leyndell, Royal Capital
Starting Site of Grace: Erdtree Sanctuary
Before you go
- Defeat Godfrey's golden shade and reach Erdtree Sanctuary.
- Defeat Godfrey's golden shade in Leyndell and activate Erdtree Sanctuary grace in his arena.
- Go outside and climb the large tree root that leads to the sanctuary's upper balcony, on the route toward Queen's Bedchamber.
- Immediately after stepping through the upper doorway, turn left and drop onto the sanctuary roof instead of continuing toward the bedchamber.
- Go through the open window back into the building. Follow the branch inside toward the chair hanging above the main hall.
- Loot the corpse seated in that chair for Golden Order Principia. Watch your footing on the branch rather than dropping straight onto the arena floor.
Notes
- Unlocks Radagon's Rings of Light and Law of Regression for purchase.
- Give the prayerbook to Brother Corhyn or Miriel. Corhyn starts at Roundtable Hold and moves during his quest, so check where you last met him.
- Miriel stays at the Church of Vows on the raised ground in eastern Liurnia. From the Artist's Shack, follow the road north and take the uphill branch toward the church.
- Handing over the book opens new shop stock. Choose Purchase and spend runes on the spells; they are not learned for free or equipped automatically.
- Spells you have bought carry into later journeys. The book and its teaching unlock do not, so buy the spells you want before starting another journey.
- Law of Regression requires 37 Intelligence and is cast with a sacred seal, even though its requirement is Intelligence rather than Faith.
- You can give this book to Miriel and still complete Goldmask's riddle. Corhyn does not have to be the teacher who sells you the spell.
- For that riddle, leave Erdtree Sanctuary to the west, descend the stairs and take the lift down to Radagon's statue. Cast Law of Regression facing the statue, read the new message and report the discovery to Goldmask.
- Collect the book and solve the capital riddle when you first reach this part of Leyndell, before advancing the later story stages that move Corhyn and Goldmask.
- With the additional Leyndell invasion content installed, the statue reveal can also bring in Broken Gold Mask. Defeat him before Leyndell becomes the Ashen Capital for Golden Order Flail and his equipment.
- If the teacher later dies, their bell bearing can preserve spells already unlocked in that shop. The Twin Maiden Husks cannot receive a new scroll or prayerbook through a bearing.
- Radagon's Rings of Light needs 31 Faith and 31 Intelligence; Law of Regression needs 37 Intelligence.
- Radagon's Rings of Light needs both Intelligence and Faith. Law of Regression needs Intelligence alone, but is still an incantation cast with a sacred seal. A staff cannot cast it.
- For the statue riddle, you can meet 37 Intelligence with temporary stat boosts or equipment rather than committing the whole build to Intelligence. Keep the boost active when you cast, and leave enough FP for the spell.
- Law of Regression also removes buffs and other effects. It is not a healing spell to cast casually while trying to preserve a prepared set of buffs.
