About this crafting material

Polter Stone needs two Grave Crickets and one Spiritgrave Stone, unlocked by Grave Keeper's Cookbook (2). It makes a distracting noise where it lands.

Call of Tibia instead needs three Grave Crickets, one Grave Keeper's Brainpan and one Human Bone Shard. Tibia's Cookbook unlocks this separate damaging consumable.

The cookbook for Call of Tibia is the hidden grave Tibia Mariner's reward. Gathering crickets does not require that fight, although crafting the item requires its book.

In-game description

Cricket that produces a raspy cry. Material used for crafting items.

Mainly found near stone coffins.

The sound of these crickets are often taken to be the rustling of the restless dead, or sometimes the sound of their calling voices.

Where to find

Graves and small islands in the shallow lake

Charo's Hidden Grave

Starting Site of Grace: Charo's Hidden Grave

  1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
  2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
  3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
  4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
  5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
  6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
  7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
  8. Leave Dragon's Pit Terminus and descend to the lake bed with a Jagged Peak Drake. You can ride past the drake; follow the southern canyon toward the enormous dead dragon.
  9. Pass the dragon statues and emerge beside the ruined structure north of Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. The huge stone bowl and dead dragon identify the altar.
  10. At the altar, head west over the dead dragon and continue west-southwest toward the red flowers. This leads into the upper hidden grave, not the blue-flowered coast below.
  11. The entrance meets the lowest section of a shallow river. The river climbs northwest through several pools separated by small waterfalls.
  12. Follow the shallow river northwest through its stepped pools. The Tibia Mariner moves between the raised pools and summons a Revenant; give them room if you only want materials.
  13. Search the graves and coffin edges around the upper pool for the small cricket pickups. Head up the hill on the left to activate Charo's Hidden Grave grace.
  14. Return to that pool and climb the hill on its opposite side, using Torrent on the low rocks. More crickets lie among the graves guarded by Beast Skeletons.
  15. Knock down the skeletons and strike their glowing remains before gathering. The Death Rite Bird farther through the grave is unnecessary for these pickups.

Cerulean Coast

Starting Site of Grace: Cerulean Coast

  1. From Castle Front, ride south to the crossroads, turn east and follow the road to the next fork. Take the right-hand dirt track, then the left fork downhill toward the southeast.
  2. Pass the bloodfiends and descend into the shallow poison area. Follow the lower path down toward the river rather than climbing toward the fort; watch for militia and poison traps along the descent.
  3. At the bottom is a shallow pool with a giant crab. Turn southwest into the opening in the cliff, continue through the cave past the Revered Spirit Ash chamber and activate Ellac River Cave grace.
  4. Leave by the southern cave exit and turn south along the river. Use Torrent to cross the successive rock ledges beside the waterfall, landing on the nearby rocks rather than jumping to the valley floor.
  5. Continue down the ledge path past the stone birds, watching for the living ones to attack. Drop down the short rock steps to Ellac River Downstream grace.
  6. From Downstream, continue south beside the lower falls. Cross the long rock pillar toward the east and use its far side to reach the lower water safely.
  7. The lower basin opens toward a Furnace Golem. Its fight is optional for reaching the coast, the friendly forager or the lightning-flower pond.
  8. Head through the eastern wooded side of the basin, then follow the passage southwest through the cliffs to Cerulean Coast grace. The blue-flowered field beyond confirms you have reached the coast.
  9. From Cerulean Coast grace, head south toward the huge tombstones rising from the shallow lake. Pass around the Ghostflame Dragon rather than fighting it.
  10. Follow the line of small islands and graves south toward the uphill map path. Loot the corpse in front of the last large gravestone for six Grave Crickets.
  11. This is a fixed corpse bundle. Resting does not provide another six from the same body.

Notes

  • Polter Stone needs two Grave Crickets and one Spiritgrave Stone, unlocked by Grave Keeper's Cookbook (2). It makes a distracting noise where it lands.
  • Call of Tibia instead needs three Grave Crickets, one Grave Keeper's Brainpan and one Human Bone Shard. Tibia's Cookbook unlocks this separate damaging consumable.
  • The cookbook for Call of Tibia is the hidden grave Tibia Mariner's reward. Gathering crickets does not require that fight, although crafting the item requires its book.
  • The six-cricket bundle beside the coastal gravestone is finite for the journey. Resting does not refill a corpse that has already been looted.
  • Grave-covered hills and the stepped pools in Charo's Hidden Grave provide additional material pickups. Clear reviving skeletons before stopping to gather beside a narrow bank.
  • Polter Stone and Call of Tibia are consumed when used. Having the reusable Tibia's Summons sorcery does not supply these materials or replace either crafting recipe.
