Starting Site of Grace: Wyndham Catacombs

1. Enter Wyndham Catacombs behind the upper Wyndham Ruins.
2. For flowers before the boss, descend using the first lift and continue through the blade-trap rooms. Gather this rank in the blade-trap room and near the knight in the lower flooded passages.
3. You can collect these without opening the boss room. They are one-time pickups, so revisiting the same flower after resting does not provide another.

Before you go

• Reach the Mountaintops and defeat this catacomb's Ulcerated Tree Spirit.

1. Reach the Mountaintops through the Grand Lift of Rold. Follow the main path east from Zamor Ruins until it approaches the narrow stone bridge. Before crossing, turn back onto the lower path southeast of the road and follow it to Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs.
2. Activate the grace, descend the stairs past the imps and take the first lift down. The boss doors are near its lower landing. Leave the hidden platform beneath this first lift for the optional Fire Monk Ashes route; it is not the way to the boss-door lever.
3. With the boss doors still shut, take the stairs down to the left and continue past the three imps to the second lift. Ride down into the Living Jar rooms.
4. Follow the lower passage past the small jars and the large jar dropping from the balcony. Climb the stairs on the west side. Avoid the pressure plate in the corridor, then take the left stairs toward the guillotines.
5. Time your movements between the falling blades and keep away from the exploding jars. Climb the next stairs and follow the corridor past the poison-spewing creatures to the large jar at the apparent dead end.
6. Return to the previous room and find the western doorway with a hole beside the corpse carrying Stimulating Boluses. Drop through the opening and down to the similar-looking lower room, then head north to its lift.
7. At this lift's lower landing, trigger the platform and step off to send it up empty. Drop into the space beneath it. A large jar guards the new landing; leave through the southern passage and turn right onto the balcony.
8. Follow the balcony around to the lever and pull it. Drop to the floor below and follow the northern passage back to the lift. Ride up and return to the now-open boss doors.
9. Defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit for Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [2] and a Golden Seed. The Deathroot is in the separate chest in the boss room. Offer the bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold. Buy Grave Glovewort [4] for 2,400 runes each.

Notes

• One flower upgrades a compatible standard Spirit Ash from +3 to +4. Roderika also charges the spirit's tuning fee, apart from the material cost.
• Offer Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [2] to the Twin Maiden Husks for unlimited purchases at 2,400 runes each. The bearing comes from the Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs Tree Spirit.
• This is the material family used by Lone Wolf Ashes, Greatshield Soldier Ashes and Horned Warrior Ashes. Ghost Glovewort serves a different group and cannot replace it.
• Use Spirit Tuning with Roderika at Roundtable Hold. Finish her conversations with Hewg to unlock tuning if the service is not yet available.
• One flower upgrades the entire ash, including every spirit in a group. A five-spirit summon does not require five flowers for the same upgrade.
• Fixed flowers do not regrow when you rest. The bell-bearing shop provides the repeatable supply, and that handed-in upgrade-material unlock remains available in later Journeys.
• Higher-numbered flowers cannot replace this rank or skip the earlier upgrades. Keep each required rank when preparing another spirit from +0.
• The bearing comes from the Ulcerated Tree Spirit boss, rather than the roaming Burial Watchdogs deeper in the catacombs. The optional passage to Fire Monk Ashes does not open the boss doors.
