In-game description

A record of crafting techniques of the greater potentate who roamed lands near and far. Haunted by the grotesque practice of his village of birth, he stuffed great pots with all manner of things.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

・Hefty Rock Pot

Where to find

Rock pillar below the first Ellac River waterfall

Gravesite Plain

Starting Site of Grace: Ellac River Cave

  1. From Castle Front, ride southeast to the road fork and take the downhill route through the camp.
  2. At the next fork, go left toward the poison pools. Near the large Miranda flower, follow the lower slope toward the crab and cave entrance.
  3. Pass the flowers and enter Ellac River Cave. Activate the grace, then follow the shallow river south to the first waterfall.
  4. Use Torrent to jump between the stone pillars below the waterfall. Check each landing before jumping; the cookbook corpse is on one of these pillars, just beyond the first fall.
  5. Loot the body before continuing farther downstream. Do not leap straight from the waterfall to the distant riverbed.

Notes

  • Unlocks Hefty Rock Pots.
  • The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
  • You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
  • Hefty Rock Pot: each craft makes 1, using 3 Roundrock.
  • These recipes use Hefty Cracked Pots. Ordinary Cracked Pots and Ritual Pots do not work. The container becomes available again after the crafted pot is thrown.
  • Hefty Rock Pots use Roundrock alone for their spent ingredient. They still need an empty Hefty Cracked Pot, which becomes available again after the throw.
