A record of crafting techniques of the greater potentate who roamed lands near and far. Haunted by the grotesque practice of his village of birth, he stuffed great pots with all manner of things.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

Starting Site of Grace: Cathedral of Manus Metyr

1. From Highroad Cross in Scadu Altus, follow the road east to Moorth Ruins and activate the grace beside the cross.
2. Pass through the large stone arch east-southeast of the grace. At the house ahead, turn left toward the leaning tower. Avoid the large open shaft behind the house, which is too deep for a direct drop.
3. Find the smaller gap between the broken building and the rock wall in front of the leaning tower. Drop onto the balcony-like ledge, turn right past the dogs and follow the cave inward.
4. In the open chamber at the end, take the back-left ledges down onto the lower roof. Look for the small shrine guarded by three Inquisitors and collect Golden Arcs from the chest inside.
5. To continue east, drop from the lower roof to the ground and take the cave beside the building on the left. Follow it to the long ladder and climb out of the well at Bonny Village grace.
6. Go east through Bonny Village, watching for the large cleaver-wielding villagers, and cross the two suspension bridges. The second brings you to Bridge Leading to the Village grace.
7. Follow the road north through the woods and around its bend to Church District Highroad grace. Continue toward the northern keep entrance for the forager, or take the cathedral branch for the lakeshore recipe.
8. Take the road south toward the large cathedral in the lake. Activate Cathedral of Manus Metyr grace inside if you want a nearby checkpoint.
9. Return outside and follow the shallow lakeshore around the cathedral's eastern side. Loot the corpse beside the water for Greater Potentate's Cookbook [4]. Ymir's quests and the finger-ruin bells are not required.

Notes

• Unlocks Hefty Magic Pot. Each craft makes one with three Redflesh Mushrooms and three Glintslab Fireflies, plus an empty Hefty Cracked Pot.
• The thrown pot deals Magic damage that scales directly with Intelligence and costs 9 FP. It does not need a staff or use a staff's Sorcery Scaling.
• Hefty Cracked Pots are reusable containers shared with other hefty recipes. Throwing the prepared pot frees its container; the mushrooms and fireflies are consumed.
• Ordinary Cracked Pots and Ritual Pots cannot be substituted. Glintstone Fireflies from Liurnia are also different from the Glintslab Fireflies needed here.
• The book is on the cathedral's outdoor eastern lakeshore. No Ymir quest step, bell interaction or boss defeat inside the cathedral is required.
• Buy the Crafting Kit from Kalé at Church of Elleh if needed. The book is not equipped or consumed, and the learned recipe stays with you in later journeys.
