A record of crafting techniques of the greater potentate who roamed lands near and far. Haunted by the grotesque practice of his village of birth, he stuffed great pots with all manner of things.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Hefty Red Lightning Pot

Before you go

• Reach Foot of the Jagged Peak

1. From Castle Front, follow the road southeast toward Pillar Path Waypoint. At the fork, use the lower road toward Igon rather than climbing to the Suppressing Pillar.
2. Continue south-southwest past the broken dragon statues. An Ancient Dragon-Man invades along this approach. The cave entrance is on the left near the end of the path, marked by a fire.
3. Activate Dragon's Pit grace and follow the lit passage down. Watch for skeletons below the first ledge and around the next corner. Strike their glowing remains after knocking them down to stop them getting back up.
4. In the large cavern with the pillars, follow the left-hand ledge down and take the passage beside the distant crossbow skeleton. Continue onto the sloping stairs in the next chamber.
5. Take the downward route toward the large altar and pit. The stairs going up lead to an optional Magma Wyrm; that fight is not needed to reach the exit.
6. At the bottom, approach the message beside the deep chasm. Walk straight off this lowest ledge into the pit to land safely by the boss mist. Do not jump from the higher rooms or aim toward the side walls.
7. Defeat the Ancient Dragon-Man behind the mist. Open the large doors at the back of the arena instead of using the return-to-entrance exit, then follow the tunnel to Dragon's Pit Terminus grace.
8. From Dragon's Pit Terminus, descend to the first drake's lake bed. Use the northeastern archway and follow the path uphill as it bends southeast. The drake fight is optional.
9. Continue along the narrow cliff path until you reach a spiritspring on the east side. This is the first spiritspring on the ascent, before the bridge to Foot of the Jagged Peak.
10. Before using the spiritspring, turn north toward the skeletons. Loot the seated corpse at the cliff edge for the cookbook.
11. If you already reached Foot of the Jagged Peak grace, return northwest across the bridge and descend with the spiritspring to this lower path. The corpse is below the bridge approach, rather than beside the grace.

Notes

• Unlocks Hefty Red Lightning Pots.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Hefty Red Lightning Pot: each craft makes 1, using 3 Redflesh Mushroom and 2 Red Fulgurbloom.
• Hefty Red Lightning Pots use Hefty Cracked Pots. Throwing the item frees its container, but the mushrooms and flowers are consumed.
• Their red lightning can spread to nearby enemies. Throw toward a group rather than expecting a larger target to count as several enemies.
• The fifth Greater Potentate volume teaches the separate ordinary Hefty Lightning Pot recipe. That recipe uses Yellow Fulgurbloom; this one needs Red Fulgurbloom.
• The corpse is before the first spiritspring and the bridge to the grace. You do not need to defeat the fighting drakes, Senessax or Bayle.
