About this item

Right half of a split medallion depicting the Haligtree.

Brandishing the medallion with both halves conjoined will activate the Grand Lift of Rold, granting access to a hidden path.

In other words, this secret medallion will guide the bearer to the land of Miquella's Haligtree.

Albus in Village of the Albinaurics

Liurnia of the Lakes

Starting Site of Grace: Village of the Albinaurics

1. Reach the shallow lake in southern Liurnia, then ride west beneath the enormous plateau. The village is in the shaded cavern below that plateau, not on the unreachable upper ground above it.
2. From southern Liurnia's lake, travel under the huge western cliff to the poisoned village beneath it. Follow the rising path past the hanging bodies to Village of the Albinaurics grace.
3. Continue uphill past the perfumer, but stop before crossing the stone bridge toward the Omenkiller.
4. Look beside the path for a large pot. Roll into it or strike it once to reveal Albus, then speak to him until he hands over the medallion half.
5. After Albus appears, stop attacking and finish his dialogue to receive the right half. The Omenkiller across the bridge is unnecessary for this conversation.

Notes

• Albus gives this half through conversation after you reveal him in Village of the Albinaurics. You do not need to kill him or defeat the village's Omenkiller.
• The left half is at Castle Sol, on the rooftop beyond Commander Niall in the Mountaintops.
• Returning to Roundtable Hold after obtaining this half can trigger Ensha's invasion. Be ready to fight before traveling there; buying or equipping the medallion is not the trigger.
• Carry both halves to the Grand Lift of Rold and switch the action to Hoist secret medallion. This takes you to Hidden Path to the Haligtree; the normal Rold Medallion selects the ordinary Mountaintops instead.
• The halves are keys for the lift, not equipped tools. Riding does not consume them, and neither half alone opens the secret destination.
• Reaching Consecrated Snowfield does not complete the route into Miquella's Haligtree. Ordina's evergaol and its four statues are a separate puzzle.
• If you want Latenna's quest, show her the right half at Slumbering Wolf's Shack beyond Lakeside Crystal Cave before collecting the left half from Castle Sol. Skipping that meeting can end her quest; it does not prevent you from opening the snowfield.
