Before you go

• Reach the Mountaintops of the Giants.

1. Reach Ancient Snow Valley Ruins, then follow the frozen river north and west to the spiritspring.
2. Use the spiritspring to reach the plateau toward Stargazers' Ruins.
3. Find the bridge running southeast from the ruins. Just south of the bridge's beginning, descend carefully to the ledge containing the merchant's campfire.
4. If you choose to kill him, collect his bearing and offer it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold.

Notes

• Transfers the merchant's remaining stock, including Missionary's Cookbook [7], Lightning Greatbolts and the Vagabond Knight armor set.
• Limited items keep their remaining quantities. Handing in the bearing does not refill anything already bought.
• Offer it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold, then open the corresponding bell-bearing shop to buy the remaining items.
• You can buy the same stock from the merchant while he is alive. Killing him is optional.
• The merchant is on a ledge below the bridge approach. Searching only the top of the bridge can leave you looking above his camp.
• Lightning Greatbolts are unlimited, while the Rune Arcs, Stonesword Keys and Thawfrost Boluses have finite stock.
• This personal merchant inventory resets in a new Journey. It is different from the permanent smithing-stone, glovewort and material-shop unlocks, so buy any supplies you want before moving on.
