Found underfoot in places like forests where beasts dwell.

It is said that the deadliest of the horned predators enjoy the sport of hunting and devouring other horned creatures.

Rauh Base

Starting Site of Grace: Ravine North

1. To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then touch the withered arm in Mohg's arena at Mohgwyn Palace.
2. From Moorth Ruins grace in Scadu Altus, ride northeast to the small triangular pool. Look for the cave beside a statue of Marika and a Scadutree Fragment.
3. Enter the cave and follow it past the perfumers to the glowing golden tree. Take the path to its right down into the swamp.
4. Turn left through the route beneath the rock and continue until you emerge into Rauh Base. Activate Ancient Ruins Base grace ahead.
5. Follow the valley southwest toward Temple Town Ruins. A bow golem and an axe golem guard the approach; fighting them is optional if you can pass their attacks.
6. Collect the map beneath the stele near the ruined town. This is the lower valley, not the upper ruins reached through Shadow Keep.
7. From Temple Town Ruins, follow the lower river north and northwest past the Pests and Gravebird platforms. Keep following the ravine until you can climb to Ravine North grace.
8. From Ravine North, follow the ravine west toward its end. Before turning south along the river toward Scorpion River Catacombs, look north of the dungeon approach for the huge pile of excrement beside a large tree.
9. Collect the horn-filled material pickups around the great mound beside the tree. The corpse on top holds Greater Potentate's Cookbook (8), which unlocks the recipe using this material.
10. Stay outside the catacombs for these pickups. The Death Knight inside and the upper Ancient Ruins of Rauh are separate from this lower-valley route.

Notes

• Used in Hefty Fetid Pots. Each craft spends three Horn-Strewn Excrement and two Fly Mold, with a reusable Hefty Cracked Pot.
• Greater Potentate's Cookbook (8) unlocks the recipe. Its corpse pickup is on the same great mound near the Scorpion River Catacombs approach.
• This material is the horn-filled variety found around Rauh's beast-waste mounds. Gold-Tinged Excrement and Blood-Tainted Excrement cannot replace it.
• The recipe uses a Hefty Cracked Pot rather than an ordinary Cracked Pot. Throwing the finished item frees that container, but the five material units are spent.
• The selected mound is in Rauh Base, reached from Moorth Ruins through the cave and lower valley. It does not require the upper ruins or the catacomb boss.
