Hornsent Grandam

Hornsent Grandam waits in Belurat’s locked storeroom. Wearing Divine Beast Head changes her response and opens a short quest with an incantation and stew rewards.

Starting Site of Grace: Small Private Altar

Before you go

  • Find Storeroom Key beside the waterfall ladder.
  1. From Three-Path Cross, follow the western route through the rocky passage to Main Gate Cross outside Belurat.
  2. Climb the entrance stairs and open the large doors. Pass the giant scorpions and the room of smaller scorpions, then continue upstairs to Belurat, Tower Settlement grace.
  3. The large doors ahead are shut. Take the path right into the small square with the waterfall, then turn left toward the elevated bridge where shadow casters fire down at you.
  4. Pass beneath the elevated bridge and enter the open doorway on the left. Clear the shadow enemies and climb the building's stairs to Small Private Altar grace.
  5. Leave through the northern doorway and climb the stairs on the right. The Horned Warrior with two curved swords patrols just above the grace.
  6. Past the patrolling Horned Warrior, take the narrow alley on the right to get around the broken bridge. Watch the corners for shadow enemies and continue toward the shallow channel at the top of the waterfall.
  7. Enter the room beside the waterfall channel and climb its ladder. Collect Storeroom Key from the corpse at the top before going through the upper doorway.
  8. Return to Small Private Altar and use the other exit onto the bridge with the two shadow casters. Clear them, cross the bridge and unlock the storeroom door for Hornsent Grandam.

When available: Complete the headpiece conversation before defeating Messmer.

Starting Site of Grace: Small Private Altar

  1. After opening the storeroom, return to Small Private Altar and follow the same uphill route past the Horned Warrior to the waterfall-side ladder. Climb it, leave through the upper doorway and take the stairs on the right toward the rooftop fork.
  2. At the next fork, the left route leads toward the scorpion room and the shortcut lift. For Stagefront, take the right-hand route across the rooftops with Gravebirds. Clear the birds and the caster near the far end before crossing.
  3. Return to the street and cross the covered bridge. A pot-carrying shadow runs here, and a Horned Warrior waits beyond it. Keep the fight away from the narrow bridge if you need room.
  4. Continue to the courtyard with the large tree and praying shadows. Cross to the large doorway and enter the upper level of the scorpion hall.
  5. Climb the spiral staircase, watching for the Curseblade's spinning attacks. Continue up the final stairs and activate Stagefront grace before opening the boss doors.
  6. Defeat Divine Beast Dancing Lion. Activate Theatre of the Divine Beast grace and collect the large Divine Beast Head from the arena floor before leaving. The remembrance is a separate direct boss reward.
  7. Equip Divine Beast Head and return to Grandam's storeroom across the caster bridge from Small Private Altar. Finish her conversation to receive Watchful Spirit.

Quest steps

Quest steps can include different outcomes. Read the branch, conditions and cutoffs before making a choice.

  1. Unlock the room

    Branch: Main quest

    From Small Private Altar, take the upper route past the Horned Warrior to the waterfall-side room. Climb the ladder for Storeroom Key, then return and cross the shadow-caster bridge to the locked door.

  2. Collect Divine Beast Head

    Branch: Main quest

    Defeat Divine Beast Dancing Lion at Stagefront, then collect the large headpiece from the arena. The Remembrance is a separate reward.

  3. Wear the head

    Branch: Main quest

    Equip Divine Beast Head before speaking to Grandam. Finish her new conversation for Watchful Spirit.

    Progression cutoff: Complete this opening conversation before defeating Messmer.

  4. Return for ordinary stew

    Branch: Main quest

    Rest or reload and speak again for Scorpion Stew. Further servings are available when you are not carrying one during this stage.

  5. Share a serving

    Branch: Optional Hornsent handover

    You can give ordinary Scorpion Stew to Hornsent while he is still available for that conversation.

  6. Return after Messmer

    Branch: Main quest

    After defeating Messmer, revisit Grandam for Gourmet Scorpion Stew and finish her later dialogue. Check again after reloading for the later serving.

Notes

  • The Storeroom Key belongs to this Belurat door. A Stonesword Key does not replace it.
  • Divine Beast Head is a separate pickup after the lion battle. Check the arena before leaving.
  • Do the headpiece conversation early. Messmer’s defeat is the important cutoff for starting this reward sequence.
  • Her ordinary stew handover checks what you are carrying. Use or store the serving before asking for another during the appropriate stage.
  • Giving Hornsent stew is optional for Grandam’s incantation and later visit.
  • Her sleeping later state is part of the conclusion. Do not attack her to try to reopen an exhausted reward conversation.
