In-game description
Map of Mohgwyn Palace and environs.
In the lightless depths lies the grave of an ancient civilization. It is here Mohg, the Lord of Blood, is building his palace, to be the seat of his coming dynasty named Mohgwyn. And whatever nightmares that may bring.
Where to find
Corpse before the mausoleum steps
Mohgwyn Palace
Starting Site of Grace: Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance
- Obtain the right Haligtree Secret Medallion half from Albus in Village of the Albinaurics, beneath southwestern Liurnia's plateau. Follow the village path uphill past the perfumer, reveal the large pot before the bridge and speak to Albus. Stop attacking once he appears.
- Obtain the left half from the rooftop beyond Commander Niall in Castle Sol. After defeating Niall, go through the exit behind his arena, ride the tower lift and collect the half beside the seated spirit. It is a separate pickup from his direct weapon reward.
- Return to the Grand Lift of Rold and switch the action to Hoist secret medallion. Follow Hidden Path to the Haligtree through to the snowy exit. The ordinary Rold Medallion goes to the other part of the Mountaintops.
- Activate Consecrated Snowfield grace near the exit. For Inner Consecrated Snowfield, continue north through the blizzard until the open ground becomes clearer; keep the grace as a safe return point.
- From Inner Consecrated Snowfield, ride west toward the cliff northwest of Yelough Anix Ruins. Among the pale tree stumps, defeat the invading Sanguine Noble. This activates the nearby sending gate.
- Continue west to the fallen tree near the cliff. Just south of it, find the blood-covered sending gate beside an Albinauric. Use the gate, leave the dark cave and follow the left-hand downhill trail to Palace Approach Ledge-Road grace.
- From Palace Approach Ledge-Road, descend the slope and follow the blood lake northwest toward the ruins. Deal with the Albinaurics summoning giant skeletons before crossing their attacks.
- Reach the stone arch and climb the first ruined stairs. Take the map from the corpse before the next flight of stairs.
- Climb the next stairs to Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance. If arriving with Varre's medal, the map is close to that arrival route before you continue up through the mausoleum.
Notes
- Collecting the fragment fills in this region's drawn terrain automatically. There is no separate equip slot or consume step to activate it.
- The drawing does not activate undiscovered Sites of Grace, collect items or remove barriers. Add your own markers for places you want to revisit.
- A landmark appearing close on the map can be far above or below you. The fragment is useful for navigation, but does not make a cliff or sealed passage traversable.
- Reveals Mohgwyn Palace on the underground map layer. It does not unlock the sending gate or teleport you to the palace by itself.
- The map is below Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance, before the dark mausoleum interior. Mohg does not need to be defeated.
- Both Varre's medal and the western Consecrated Snowfield sending gate give access to this region. The directions here use the sending gate so they do not depend on completing his quest.
