The remote, desolate eastern summit is the highest point in all the Lands Between, overlooking even the Flame Peak to the south.

Mountaintops of the Giants

Starting Site of Grace: Zamor Ruins

1. Defeat Morgott at the top of Leyndell and activate Elden Throne grace. Walk up to the Erdtree's thorns and examine the blocked entrance.
2. Return to the grace and rest. Speak to Melina to receive the Rold Medallion; it is a conversation reward rather than a corpse drop in the arena.
3. Travel to Avenue Balcony and climb the stairs to the main street. Turn left and follow it east to the large double doors. Push them open and climb the road through the Misbegotten and perfumers.
4. At the upper end, enter the lift room and ride up. Cross the long bridge out of the capital, then take the next lift down into the Forbidden Lands. The branch to the Divine Tower of East Altus is separate.
5. Activate Forbidden Lands grace, then follow the northeast path through the fog past the red scarabs and small golden tree. Watch for Vulgar Militia beside the path.
6. At the great staircase, the Black Blade Kindred can be avoided. Continue up into the lift building, activate Grand Lift of Rold grace and stand at the circular medallion prompt.
7. Choose Hoist medallion with the Rold Medallion to reach the ordinary Mountaintops. Hoist secret medallion is the separate option for the Haligtree halves.
8. After arriving at the top of the lift, follow the path past the western map stele to Zamor Ruins grace, just to the left of the path.
9. From Zamor Ruins, follow the route east through the ruins and around the bend north. Pass through the mountain gap to the narrow stone crossing.
10. Cross in stages using the low cover against the Guardian Golem's arrows. Continue north and climb the broken masonry to Ancient Snow Valley Ruins grace.
11. Follow the valley north to the frozen river and turn right. Continue east along it, then climb the path on the left beside the cliffs to Freezing Lake grace.
12. Cross the frozen lake along the right-hand cliff toward its far southeastern side. Borealis can be ridden past if the fog and dragon appear; the dragon is optional for the map.
13. Reach First Church of Marika at the lake's southern end. Head west past the stone coffins and use the spiritspring to reach the higher ground.
14. Continue west to Whiteridge Road grace and the Fire Monk camp beside Guardians' Garrison. Pass through the camp to the huge chain on its far side; entering and clearing the garrison is optional.
15. Cross the chain carefully. Collect the map beneath the stele beside Giants' Gravepost grace on the other end, before continuing toward the Fire Giant.

Notes

• Reveals the drawn terrain when collected. It does not activate undiscovered graces, mark every item or complete the area for you.
• You do not equip or consume the fragment to view it. Open the map after the pickup, and place your own markers for routes you want to follow.
• Reveals the eastern Mountaintops and the Flame Peak area reached over the giant chain.
• The pickup is beside Giants' Gravepost after the chain. You do not need to defeat the Fire Giant to collect it.
• Look for the small stele symbol on the blank map as you approach. It marks the map pickup, rather than a checkpoint you can rest at.
