Margit, the Fell Omen
Margit blocks the direct entrance to Stormveil Castle. His delayed cane swings and conjured weapons make careful timing more useful than rolling as soon as he raises an arm.

Notes
Defeating this Stormveil encounter awards Talisman Pouch, permanently adding a talisman slot until the normal four-slot limit is reached.
Buy Margit’s Shackle from Patches for 5,000 runes after sparing him in Murkwater Cave and opening his shop. It can pin Margit twice during the first phase; it stops working after he changes to his later moveset.
Rogier’s gold sign is just outside the fog. Spirit Ashes are another option when their normal summoning conditions are met; they do not require finishing Rogier’s later quest.
Do not dodge just because the cane is raised. Wait for the swing itself, then watch for a quick glowing dagger follow-up before attacking.
His later moves include a large conjured hammer and longer combinations. A completed hammer slam gives you a clearer moment to respond than trying to interrupt the wind-up.
Keep the fight away from the courtyard edge. Retreating blindly from a long combination can send you over the side.
Stormveil can be bypassed by the cliff route into Liurnia, so you can explore elsewhere and return with stronger equipment. Margit is not required for every route through the story.
This is separate from the Commoner transformation near Leyndell’s Outer Wall Battleground. Defeating Morgott before returning to Stormveil removes this Margit encounter; Morgott can supply the missed pouch reward.
