Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

Before you go

• 1,000 runes

1. From the First Step, follow the path north to the ruined Church of Elleh.
2. Talk to Kale beside the campfire and open his shop.
3. Buy the cookbook for 1,000 runes.

Notes

• Unlocks Holy Water Pots and Roped Holy Water Pots.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Holy Water Pot: each craft makes 1, using 1 Mushroom and 1 Tarnished Golden Sunflower.
• Roped Holy Water Pot: each craft makes 1, using 1 Mushroom, 1 Tarnished Golden Sunflower, and 1 String.
• Both recipes use Cracked Pots. Holy water is useful against Those Who Live in Death.
• The roped version is thrown behind you and also needs String. Both versions need an empty Cracked Pot, which becomes available again after use.
