A record of crafting techniques left by a man who, unable to become a Finger Maiden, instead became a missionary, and went forth to spread holy teachings.

Acquire the knowledge to craft the following:

- Rejuvenating Boluses

Hermit Merchant south of Stargazers' Ruins

Mountaintops of the Giants

Starting Site of Grace: Ancient Snow Valley Ruins

Before you go

• Reach Mountaintops of the Giants
• 7,500 runes

1. Reach Ancient Snow Valley Ruins in the Mountaintops of the Giants.
2. Follow the frozen river north and west to the Spiritspring, then use it to reach the plateau toward Stargazers' Ruins.
3. Look for the bridge running southeast from the ruins. Just south of the start of that bridge, drop carefully to the ledge with the merchant's campfire.
4. Talk to him beside his campfire and buy the cookbook for 7,500 runes.

Notes

• Unlocks Rejuvenating Boluses.
• The book unlocks its recipes without being equipped or consumed. You also need the Crafting Kit from Kalé at the Church of Elleh to use Item Crafting.
• You keep the book and its recipes in later Journeys. Its number identifies the contents rather than a required collection order.
• Rejuvenating Boluses: each craft makes 1, using 2 Dewkissed Herba, 1 Crystal Cave Moss, and 1 Golden Centipede.
• Rejuvenating Boluses reduce death blight buildup. Use them while the meter is filling, since a full meter kills you immediately.
• The recipe needs a Golden Centipede, Crystal Cave Moss and Dewkissed Herba. Ordinary Herba and Cave Moss cannot replace the two underground materials.
