Night’s Cavalry (Road southeast of Gate Town Bridge)

This nighttime patrol uses a glaive from horseback. Use the road’s open space to keep its attacks and turning path in view.

Night's Cavalry east of Gate Town Bridge

Starting Site of Grace: Gate Town Bridge

Before you go

  • Fight the rider at night.
  1. From Liurnia Highway North, continue north through the battlefield with marionettes toward Gate Town Bridge.
  2. Activate the grace, pass time until night and search the road east and southeast of it for the Night's Cavalry.
  3. Defeat that rider to receive Ice Spear. This is the southern lake-road encounter, not the Bellum Highway rider farther north.

HP and damage negation

HP and damage negation for this encounter are still being verified. Its location and notes are available below.

Notes

  • The reward is Ice Spear. The northern Liurnia rider near East Raya Lucaria Gate gives Giant Hunt and Nightrider Glaive instead.
  • Approach along the eastern highway from Liurnia Highway North. The patrol is on the road southeast of the grace, not inside the sunken academy town.
  • These riders appear at night. If the road is empty after you die, rest at a grace and pass time until night again before returning.
  • The horse and rider are separate targets. Bringing down the horse can knock the rider onto the ground, but killing only the mount does not award the encounter’s reward.
  • Use the dismount opening to attack the rider, then watch for the weapon being held upright. The rider can summon a replacement horse with an area attack around the mounting point.
  • The long weapon can still reach you as the horse passes. Turn to keep the rider visible rather than chasing directly behind it through another sweeping attack.
