In-game description

A nomadic merchant's bell bearing, found upon his perished flesh.

Offer to the Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold to gain access to new items.

Where to find

Merchant at the southern end of the broken greatbridge

Altus Plateau

Starting Site of Grace: Forest-Spanning Greatbridge

Before you go

  • Reach Altus Plateau.
  1. Follow the Altus Plateau road to the southern end of the broken Forest-Spanning Greatbridge.
  2. Activate the grace on the bridge and find the merchant camped beside it. Stay on this end rather than taking the waygate across the gap.
  3. If you choose to kill him, collect his bearing and offer it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold.

Notes

  • Transfers the merchant's remaining stock, including Ancient Dragon Apostle's Cookbook [2], Lightning Bolts, the Crossed-Tree Towershield and Tree Surcoat.
  • Limited items keep their remaining quantities. Handing in the bearing does not refill anything already bought.
  • Offer it to the Twin Maiden Husks at Roundtable Hold, then open the corresponding bell-bearing shop to buy the remaining items.
  • You can buy the same stock from the merchant while he is alive. Killing him is optional.
  • The Lightning Bolts are unlimited. His Gravel Stone and Stonesword Keys are limited supplies.
  • This merchant is not Goldmask, who stands at the other end of the broken bridge.
  • This personal merchant inventory resets in a new Journey. It is different from the permanent smithing-stone, glovewort and material-shop unlocks, so buy any supplies you want before moving on.
