Points to the sending gate on Fort Gael's upper battlements in western Caelid. It provides a shortcut toward Redmane Castle, rather than granting the rewards inside the castle.

The fort's main door is closed. Follow the outside wall to the ladder and climb to the battlements instead of trying to open the front entrance.

You do not need to defeat the Lion Guardian in the courtyard or buy this note to use the gate. The Radahn Festival still has its own progression requirements.

Before you go

  • Have 1,200 runes.
  • Visit during the day.
  1. Follow northern Caelid's road to Caelem Ruins. Use Torrent to cross the narrow chasm onto the higher northern plateau and activate Dragonbarrow West grace.
  2. At the road fork, head northwest up the road toward the shack, rather than east toward the map monument and dragons.
  3. Activate Isolated Merchant's Shack grace and visit in daylight. If a Bell Bearing Hunter replaces the merchant at night, pass time until morning and reload the area.
  4. Open Purchase and buy Note: Gateway for 1,200 runes.
