Find the large gravestone guarded by a battlemage and strike the cliff behind it to uncover the entrance.

Buying this note is unnecessary for opening the cave. Lusat's blue seal farther inside is a different barrier and requires Sellian Sealbreaker from Sellen's quest.

Starting Site of Grace: Isolated Merchant's Shack

Before you go

  • Have 1,200 runes.
  • Visit during the day.
  1. Follow northern Caelid's road to Caelem Ruins. Use Torrent to cross the narrow chasm onto the higher northern plateau and activate Dragonbarrow West grace.
  2. At the road fork, head northwest up the road toward the shack, rather than east toward the map monument and dragons.
  3. Activate Isolated Merchant's Shack grace and visit in daylight. If a Bell Bearing Hunter replaces the merchant at night, pass time until morning and reload the area.
  4. Open Purchase and buy Note: Hidden Cave for 1,200 runes.

  • Refers to Sellia Hideaway, reached from the graveyard northeast of Church of the Plague. The cave is hidden in the cliff, rather than inside one of Sellia's houses.
  • Find the large gravestone guarded by a battlemage and strike the cliff behind it to uncover the entrance.
  • Buying this note is unnecessary for opening the cave. Lusat's blue seal farther inside is a different barrier and requires Sellian Sealbreaker from Sellen's quest.
  • The note does not replace the sealbreaker or award Stars of Ruin. Those require the separate quest interaction with Lusat.
  • Read it from the inventory's Info tab. You do not equip it or consume it to use the hint.
